I remember how pissed the Rust community was at the Rust devs for giving a spotlight to popular twitch streamers playing the game back in 2020. I wonder if they'll have a similar reaction to this if other vtubing anime girls and groups join in.

Rust has gotten a major comeback in Japan precisely because other JP streamers and vtubers (mainly from the Apex/FPS community) had picked it up. There was a minor drama a while back where the Holo girls were blocked from joining the server all the big streamers were using and Laplus was seen chatting with the streamer Shaka through Discord.
