We're hearing shot in the back. Short barrel, so bird shot could kill him without a huge exit wound. Really light shot that would stop fast, especially with the velocity loss
Pic a few pages back shows the gunman right before firing is literally right in Abe's front, Abe's head is turned slightly enough to not see the gunman. Methinks either being point-blank is enough for the shot to tear through his body or its the ammunition used.

Definitely didnt expect an actual assassination today. I basically only know him from memes but I don't want to see old Japanese men i reconsider die.
From a guy who lives in Tokyo and seems to be pretty active in think tank circles. It sounds about right for Japan... and would also explain how the assassin got so close to him.

Doesn't japan have very common and public speechs. My impression was politicians basically gave speech on soapboxes.

If he survives this shit, that'd be a miracle. the shooter is what, within 20 feet of Abe? Thats still close enough for a shotgun to blast a cartoon hole through your chest :/

and plus once he left all his successor PMs were globohomo
And if they invite niggers then kiss that possibility goodbye
I can definitely see the guy before Kishida being this (good thing he was booted), but I'm gonna need some sauce on Kishida being a globohomo fanboy, because I've seen nothing that suggests this. Japanese courts rejected the possibility of same-sex marriage being legal/constitutional very recently, they've been arming up military-wise, conservative parties haven't gone down in votes and LDP is only liberal by JP standards.
Fuck, isn't Japan still only doing guided tours and keeping travel closed up over the coof? Where are you getting this?

If the new guard is really about to start filling Nippon with Nogs, they'd definitely pull some shit like this to justify increased arms and security for government officials. Those who are prepping to fuck their nations up need the extra concrete barriers, ala *President Joe after a #totallyfairelection. Assassinations are dirty god damn business, they can be simple and organic or 100% Machiavellian and sponsored.

The assassin's name is Tetsuya Yamagami and he is in his 40s.

I think the only thing they could do now in terms of gun control is take guns away from the police.

Yes, soapboxes speeches are very common in both Japan and Korea. The idea is being open and close to the public as much as possible. Have a feeling that's going to change soon

I just got a news notification that he's in "heart failure" after being shot. I guess only the dumb journalists are on right now for breaking news.
They're aren't being dumb. Legally only a doctor can pronounce him dead, the police/firefighters/paramedics cannot. I'm not sure if the news is legally bound from calling it, but they typically follow along anyways and avoid using "dead" until it's formally announced. Instead they say something like they're in "cardio-respiratory arrest" while waiting for the official word from the hospital.

I'm aware but you can be much more precise in your language than "heart failure" for someone who just got blasted in the back with a shotgun. They should have said they're in cardiac arrest, not heart failure.

It was local news and local news is usually staffed by retards anyway.
