The gun is obviously not a JSDF firearm, JSDF members cannot just take those, and JSDF guns typically have a whole lot less 2x4s in them:

Iirc there where some pieces (probably covered by tape) that he got from actual guns he smuggled out of the army and put into the MacGyver gun, but yeah i wouldn't be surprised if Biden pushes to ban purchases at home depot without a building permit for this

I doubt China had anything to do with the attack. . While it's true Chairman Meow hates Abe for cockblocking him so many times Abe wasn't even running for PM again and the current power struggle going on inside China kinda precludes any serious ideas of blame.

This idea is already being danced around by people unhappy with the new imaginary ghost gun laws the ATF is legislating through memos. They want to restrict sellers to either providing trigger/barrel parts OR frame parts, not both. If you have to buy gun parts from from 2 online stores instead of 1, you're less likely to commit mass murder (I guess). The idea was to go to Home Depot and build a complete pipe shotgun, in turn forcing HD to violate the law by providing every part necessary to make the gun. The best way to get rid of a dumb rule is to make them enforce it on a public entity that doesn't even know they're violating it.

They brought his wife in about 30 minutes ago, either they needed her to give the OK to pull the plug after it became obvious he wouldn't pull through, or to confirm the body and give her the news first. Either way, it's official: he's gone.
Latest info is the guy who did it was a Ph.D STEM teacher and former Japanese National Guard guy, who just decided "I don't like Abe and I feel like killing him." Completely home made gun with possibly an Airsoft pistol grip connected to an electronic ignition system, a few pipes, etc. Guess the term is "Zip gun?" Looks like something you'd get early game in Fallout 4.

I am on the opposite side of the posts here. I don't think this was part of any plan. Too many sloppy bits that don't align with intentionally being so. No, what I think this -will- be is a wakeup call to alot of politicians. Tat maybe, just maybe, they don't have as good a grip on the people as they think they do.

Well, all I can say about 2024 is that the left would hope for it because they’ll split the Republican vote and kill two white whales with one harpoon, assuming 2020 rules aren’t used.
My guess is because Abe has made moves and statements regarding China and their acts of aggression, and maybe he realized Xi’s MO of trying to manipulate behind the scenes. Also, he made a big deal of the JSDF going from “defending Japan” to “defending Japan AND HER ALLIES”. And he was also bringing up the idea of giving the JSDF more teeth and getting them out of the postwar state America placed them in.
For the civil war aspect, why would you want a civil war, and who would be the sides in the conflict?
I forgot the sequence of events in the Book of Revelation. Only that some parts take multiple years and some happen in phases. And apparently it’s all one a time and you wait to be called like you’re in a doctor’s office.
Well, I think it’s more of a case of “nobody has ever thought of doing this”. Either way, I’ll be checking for updates.
