I’m missing Elephantdick and her hard coping about how botched her surgery is.

There’s a running theme that I’ve noticed, especially with the FTMs. How after their surgeries they just have to go on about how perfect and happy they feel and absolutely “NO REGRETS”.

It’s the ultimate form of coping I’ve seen here. It’s kind of funny and sad.

Tangentially related, but I watched a video of a de-transitioner (can’t recall her name) who got their arm meat sack surgery 7 years prior to the video. After those 7 years she realized her dysphoria came from abuse she suffered as a child and her transitioning to a man was a way to protect herself from other men.

The scar she has on her arm is a painful reminder to her of how bad she didn’t realize she had it. It seemed a lot of trans youth looked up to her too.

I think about her when I read this thread and how these people are so sure of themselves, some that are just teenagers that don’t know what they want.

It’s sad to think a lot of these people were probably abused as kids and maybe becoming a man is also a way to protect themselves, but that’s my autistic speculation.

Post after post of “NO REGRETS I AM TOTALLY HAPPY WITH MY ARM SLEEVE PENIS” cope, these people are gonna face a harsh reality years down the line that they are, in fact, not happy at all and they’re just de-transitioners in waiting.

Sad and somewhat amusing.

I never would have been able to do wound care on these people and I've seen some shit in my day.
