After reading this post I tried to find his aunt's obituary. I didn't find this recent aunt but did find the obituary of one of Denise's other sisters. Fun fact: I went to school with one of Denise's nephews. He was a disgusting creep who got in trouble for cashing his grandma's social security checks and got accused on sleeping with a 15 year old when he was 28. James Crise if you want to Google him. Louie's first cousin.

If Lou's stepdad isn't on dialysis, it'd be a big surprise.

Lou has a sort of low cunning, but he's intellectually lazy. He recently claimed to not know what hyperglycemia was, and he's either allergic to research (about his medical conditions, about services he's eligible for) or he's claiming not to know in order to beg for funds.

It's a little of both, probably. Lou was begging for money to buy a new sharps container, but he mysteriously stopped that grift once this thread noted that Lou could requests free sharps containers from the company that makes his insulin (and posted the URL).

Lou's said a lot about his stepdad's dialysis. It's all been in passing, focused on the ways that the stepdad's dialysis affects Lou, but there are more details than a lazy researcher would be able to naturally call upon. Lou has described hemodialysis appointments, the process of getting on peritoneal dialysis instead, and mentioned in a completely disinterested and apathetic way that his stepdad was getting closer to a donor kidney.

Lou recently tried to write a furry transformation story with an unreliable narrator who didn't realize he had been transformed into a pregnant tiger-woman with huge boobs. After reading that masterpiece, I think everyone here would agree that Lou is not capable of weaving a false background narrative about his stepdad's dialysis over such a long time period, and with such subtlety.

I'm not saying his stepdad couldn't have had cancer. You can have cancer and also be on the diabetes--toe amputation--end-stage renal disease train, and if Lou doesn't want to use your cancer for sympathy that week he might never mention it. Lou has also told the world that his stepdad has early dementia (but only once, and he hasn't mentioned this claim again), that he has another diabetic foot ulcer brewing, and that the only person in the family who drives is his mother.


Lou did claim that his mother funded some of his furry fanart commissions... ...maybe the two of them can split the shipping on a Bad Dragon order.

For what it's worth, certain cancers will mess up your kidneys something awful as a side effect (as in, the cancer is somewhere else but because of the damage it's doing, it kills the kidneys).

I just assume that since he has to ask alexa to find his gerbil porn...........................

He doesn't show the physical signs of being a drunk birth. I know someone that did drink while pregnant and the child has noticeable physical signs.

The signs don't have to be physical, depends on when alcohol is consumed I imagine. And if his mother was a big boozer prior to the nephew, I guarantee she drank while pregnant. Lou definitely strikes me as developmentally spuddy.

Over in the Beauty Parlour, Staph got a whole masters degree despite being so obviously a drug child, so don't doubt the power of spuds to fake it till adulthood. They tend to struggle before that, usually around middle school, though parental denial and neglect by the school system can pass them along to adulthood.

What struck me is that our new friend doesn't think Lou's stepdad is on dialysis at all, no matter the etiology of his (alleged) kidney dysfunction.

Then again, if you keep your shirt sleeves down and don't go into too much detail on your plans for the week, I guess you could be stealthy about end-stage renal disease. If Lou's stepdad is a quiet guy who doesn't like to fuss, it'd make sense that nobody really knows what he's dealing with.

It'd explain why the family keeps dragging the poor guy out to eat in restaurants. Lou brings that up in two contexts: everyone went out to eat without Lou and Lou is sad, or Lou needs money from furries so he can buy a restaurant meal for his stepdad because he respects him this week. The former definitely sounds plausible.

I will say, there's not a lot discussed about Joe. He's only ever been basically their provider/ driver/grandpap to Skyler. Lou doesn't even treat him like the only father figure he's ever had and Steven is in and out of jail n rehab constantly. Joe is a very quiet, nice, reserved guy. The only time he's brought up in conversation is when Lou, Denise or Steven needs pitty. So everyone has to try to figure out what stories are true and false about him. But whatever he's going thru, he gets around very good and drives everyone where they need to go and takes care of them all.

This would have been in the late 90s. Idk how much trouble he got in for it given he was a minor but I heard him with my own two ears say he was cashing the checks and then heard other kids (I can't for the life of me remember these kids' names but they rode his bus and lived in New Stanton/Hunker) say he got in trouble for it.

I actually never knew his name until I saw in the paper with a photo a decade later he was in trouble for messing with a teenager. Everyone called him Stash. I was definitely not in the same social circles as him so that's literally all I know.

You're a long way from this part still, but Lou's got a stalker (or stalkers) who claim to know Lou IRL, and are constantly sending him mean DMs and even meaner questions. Lou thinks it's all the work of one person, whom he calls "Mr E", and Lou's intimated several times that he's worked out this person's true identity. Lou's never actually dropped any names, though, and he's probably bluffing.

Personally, I'm convinced that Mr E is not one person, but a bunch of people - including people who hate Lou IRL, Kiwi poohtouchers, and Lou's own internet friends who are fed up with his shit. But there does seem to be at least on person, who knows Lou IRL, who hates his guts and sends a large portion of the Mr E messages.

Also, just a heads up: if Lou work out who YOU are, he'll likely suspect you to have been Mr E all along.

Idk why she went to court, but it was probably something to do with his brother. He was just arrested again recently.

Denise was in court for fighting with someone, presumably a neighbour; she was charged with various types of harassment, but got everything except the most minor charges dropped.

As for Lou's brother, he was out of prison on furlough, to attend some drug treatment program I think? It was only a temporary furlough; he was supposed to go back to prison as soon as the program ended, and of course he failed to do that, so they rearrested him. There's some mugshots and news articles about fifty pages back; he kicked a cop and got tasered, so that's fun.

(also, Coach and Denise apparently caught him stealing money from Skyler - again - almost immediately after his release. I don't think they turned him in for that, though, as the only new charges he's got were for failing to return to prison and assaulting the police)
