Rie started some shit with the other ones and seems like the most likely to be a toxic gamer so that might be interesting. Guess she played it safe for debut. Overall i feel like almost everyone in this thread liked Airi yet she is the one with the least subs. While numberfagging about subs doesnt mean much (especially early on) it seems the majority of the people goes against what this board likes (although many didnt like Remilia either and shes 2nd in subs).

Gen 1 started with nothing and were able to create a fan base. Gen 2 gets to build off of that from the get go.

That's normal but people like to numberfag and im sure the girls up to some point do the same hence why everyone is getting anxious.

Wanted to save all my impressions for one post.

Remi was leaning into the lewd way too much, hopefully she stops because her ESL voice didn't bother me. Her loli transformation is really interesting, I haven't seen anything like that before, but I barely branch out from Phase and HoloEN so I wouldn't be surprised if there are more. Too bad Remi's is what it is.
Airi was fun, seems just air headed enough to self inflict dumb entertaining moments. I'm interested in seeing how her interest in writing manifests.
Shiina needs pants so we can watch her without Null accusing us of terrible crimes.
Rie was a bit generic but I liked the glimpses of gap moe, hopefully her regular streams have better energy.
Erina was also a bit bland so same goes for her. I may be alone in this but I hope her voice neutralizes a bit, I'm not a huge fan of the ara ara ASMR thing she seems to have going. If I'm wrong and it's her natural voice then I can probably learn to tolerate it.
Panko's design is cute and she has a nice vibe, but she didn't click for me. Extra points for the Rick Roll, it's a bad dead meme but I laughed anyway.

Overall they seem like a decent bunch with a few issues that can be corrected, but I'm a dirty Capippatalist so I probably won't watch them much and only really care about the possibility for fun collabs.

It made the whole thing way more enjoyable for me, but I do wish today's had been some combo of Lia/Pippa/Uruka/Nasa instead of Iori/Tenma/Michiru again. Obviously schedules might not have lined up for it but it would have been nice.

NijiEN's done it for all of their gens, I think.

Niji did do it, and it worked really well for them. For Elira, Pomu, and Finana's debut it was Hana and Bonniver who watched. From then on, the previous generation MC'd and watched the new gen. Selen roasting Gen 3 was great to watch.

Remilia might be a lispy ESL, but I feel like she could be alright if she just dropped the coombait.

I like her just based on the ESL voice and quirky humor and I don't think she needs to lean on coomer stuff. It think it's okay to have little bit since she has an attractive model with the tongue/eyes, but it shouldn't be the main focus.

Hime: The BGM being so loud for so long kinda annoyed me. The guitar stuff is really interesting to me though and hope there's a lot more of that! I think she's hiding her power level, but only time will tell.
Erina: Tame, but everything is fine. Nothing really exciting but nothing off putting either.
Panko: Design is actually really cute, kind of Gura-ish. Her intro music was really good. She's funny and likable, probably hiding some PL too. I don't want to be too judgey on the debuts anyways: watching Pippa's debut you wouldn't know what you were getting.

My Gen 2 opinion is still pretty much: Remi is adorable and I will watch her, hope she doesn't get susan'd into oblivion or scared away by coomers, hope I don't shame myself in her chat. Shiina is overwhelmingly talented and the stand out overall, must watch, must support. The rest are okay and i'll watch them sometimes, who knows how they turn out.
However

Also Airi likes FF Tactics. This is incalculable amounts of based and I hope she dives into older games.

I did a double take for this too, I wasn't that into Airi but FFT and similar games can win me over. Like wise, if Rie leans on the rock guitar stuff that can get me too!

I mostly agree. My top two where I try to watch everything they play, IRyS and Mumei, have dabbled a bit in both OW and Apex. These types of games (OW specifically) are indeed not fun to watch, but it makes it easier for me to consoom because I can just alt-tab to something else and listen to it in the background, maybe checking back visually once in a while if it sounds like something funny happened. Makes for more of a podcast stream for me, rather than something I actually have to actively watch.

That said, Mumei definitely does have a passion-for/hatred-of OW.

Yeah, I even liked what I played of the Overwatch 2 beta, but it's just dead fucking content unless it's like the HoloEN collabs where it's a full 6 man, or unless it's a Pippa stream because she gets too into it. Battle Royale games are generally as unwatchable as they are unplayable, because there's so much downtime of literally nothing at all happening while you walk towards the circle. Apex specifically is fucking unplayable in general unless you've put a thousand hours into it, because of all of the retarded movement tech and exploits you just need to know to compete, and you can't even have a friend teach you because SBMM exists and is party-wide, so your new player gets sent to the rape dimension if they play with anyone who actually knows the game. Valorant is just kinda boring and repetitive to watch in general unless it's a pro match.

To continue sperging, the gen 2 debuts just solidified my (not parasocial) love for Pippa. The combination of internet culture savvy enough to find fun stuff for content, and tech savvy enough to be able to set up a bunch of shit and even change up her model on a whim is literally unbeatable.

Selen and I think Rosemi (might be wrong) did Gen 3. Elira and Oliver did Luxiem and it was also great.

I hate Valorant and Overwatch but I don't mind Apex as the gameplay is fast-paced. As for League, I used to play the game, and while it's sometimes boring to watch the amount of salt people generate whenever playing that game makes it a must-watch for me.

Remilia: Loli coomerbait, no thnx. I thought she was going to be the gen's shit poster, but she's trying too hard.

Airi: Lovable goofball, might watch her from time to time.

Shiina: honestly surprised, I'll be sticking around. It's a shame she has such a yabai design. A bit more of clothing will do wonders. Also, the intro video was fucking great.

Hime pettan: didn't pay much attention, but looks like she need time to reveal herself (power level, etc). She might be the shit poster I was waiting for.

Erina: please ditch the voice filter. I hope budget kronii puts a bit more effort than the og. Milquetoast interests overall.

Panko: wasn't she supposed to be the genki girl of Gentoo? Super low energy, which can be a good thing, but I feel I was deceived. Left absolutely no impression.


I was originally betting on panko and remi as the breakout talents, leaving shiina and the rest as "meh" material. Looks like I got it backwards.

Pretty disappointed with Gen 2. Or rather, it made me realize how much Pippa stands out from every other basic bitch vtuber out there.
