If there is something that I noticed among the general extremely hedonistic twitter sphere (these people, coomer artists and weirdo coomers that all overlap in some way ) is how apathethic they are about their weird degenerate fetishes, and usually don't even flinch when one of their mutuals gets exposed as some sex weirdo or often in some cases, double down on their weirdo behavior.

Some of you seem very surprised by this news. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often, or at least that most of the pedotards doing this are getting away with it because they are properly hiding their identities unlike these turbospergs who didn't even put in the effort.

Difference between now and then is that nowadays, we have the Internet, and many of these artists and animators live on the Internet. Animators back then were savvy enough to keep their porn amongst themselves, in good fun, and knew not to show it off to hundreds of strangers at a time for that updoot dopamine.

Not likely because the nips don't really care about that sort of thing. Japanese artists heavily use twitter to share weird art and it's impossible to cancel them because their culture doesn't care. Plus there's almost no overlap between western twitter and Japanese twitter. They tend to just ignore English-language stuff the majority of the time.

Arguable case in point: famous character concept artist Range Murata got his start drawing pinup girls. He draws official pinups of characters from the shows he's made, which are used to advertise those shows.

That and the guy drawing these pin-ups was no secret. He's always done those, and IIRC he doesn't usually broach into full-on porn. The execs probably just looked at his stuff, thought to themselves "well, he sure can draw Hawaiian girls and he can draw silly monsters", and hired him without further thought.

Plus Lilo & Stitch was released in 2002, nobody who wasn't an art sperg knew who the character designer for the movie was at the time. Hell, most people today don't, even though he's got a very unique style.

I’d also like to add that the art looks pleasing and attractive to look at. Nowadays, you can barely find any mainstream animator that actually knows and likes to draw beautiful women.

Artists like Sanders have their preferences, but they also very clearly show restraint in their drawings. Just based on his presentations alone, you don't ever see Sanders drawing Stitch humping Nani bareback or Eep being ravished by a large animal, now do you? (Or if he does, he keeps that shit to himself/destroys the evidence afterwards.)
