What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

Used to really enjoy listening to Dan Cummins do his podcasts (they’re all on YouTube so I’m counting it)

He never strayed too far into politics, only mentioning that he has libertarian leanings which was a breath of fresh air when 99% of all podcasts it seems so nothing but screech wokeisims at their audience.

One of his newer episodes focused on The Holocaust has him basically advocating for CRT to be taught in schools which really put me off. He even got into the whole “fuck white kids and their feelings! They need to know THE TRUTH!!!” bit.

You can be frank and honest about the shitty things we’ve done as a nation. I do think that should be taught in history, but you can do that without having to shame children and make them feel like garbage for something they had nothing to do with. All that does is foster resentment and antagonism between others.

This came right out of left field from Dan, who like I said usually doesn’t touch politics often, sticks to the topic at hand and has admitted to being libertarian instead of a frothing lefty.

Happens to me a lot - I find it incredibly hard to continue watching particular content creators once they begin virtue signalling in their videos. If they want to be woke outside of YouTube, fine, but I hate it when I'm just looking for videos/streams of a specific game and all of a sudden there's preaching about twanz rights or BLM.

It wasn't one video per se, but Achievement Hunter (and Rooster Teeth in general) was a big one for me, I didn't like Fiona because she seemed to be there for purely tokenistic reasons - a black lesbian! but had no sense of humour and was generally annoying. And then Lindsay, a married mother of two, decided to come out as genderspecial. Then there was the "non binary" Russian in Gen:Lock, voiced by a genderspecial actress no less. Game Grumps too but I can't pinpoint the exact moment.

My roommate desperately wanted me to watch Gen:Lock so he could talk about it with me and when that whole schtick was revealed it was the biggest eye-roll-worthy moment I couldn't voice to him because he would just tell me I'm wrong for 5 minutes. I've been friends with this dude longer than any other of my friends and I value that friendship so much. Gen:Lock isn't the most unwatchable but good god, if the Russian character wasn't a decent character it would be just egregious. That and hearing people like Chad James right next to Michael B. Jordan really takes me out of any immersion. You can always tell who is who because the RT people are always saying lines of dialogue mentioning Siege or whathaveyou
David Tenant also never really fits into his character.
Sorry for the long schpiel but you just reminded me what my biggest issue with modern RT is/was lol

This is the video that got me to stop listening to the Death Battle Cast. They bend over backwards in the cast to justify their reasoning but when you're comparing "tons of TNT" to "The force of gravity" or some shit, it just doesn't compute. That and the continual new guests from the crew just aren't funny, nor good at being entertaining.
The worst example would probably be this episode of The Cast. The guest is a researcher who just gushes about her crushes on the characters and it just makes me go "Hey, maybe don't hire fans to be writers." It's cringe and they insert their own fan canon shit/fandom jokes all over the place.
Honestly, once Torian left, it was the beginning of the end

Even before the pandemic and Trump's electoral win, a lot of content creators want to be like these talking head celebrities where they "support the current thing."

I’ve said this before, but this time it was really Shawn Cee (again)

This honestly gave me a headache and I only managed to get through eight minutes of this. Even his Twitch following has him thinking he’s the second coming of an Anthony Fantano, when it comes to his music reviews.

Still, this video in particular was when I realized why I stopped watching him in the first place. I thought I transported back to 2020 all over again.

Johnathan Young is apparently pro baby murder.

Dude pulled the "anime pfp" argument while shitting on his core audience.
Doesn’t surprise me. Dude and his fatass butt buddy Caleb Hyles are walking soyfag caricatures who made their audience through singing Disney songs. Difference is I don’t like Caleb either but at least he can sing, this loser has always been a try hard who sounds like a 13 year old trying to do a screamo metal voice

Par for the course with the cardboard tabletop community, though.

Not to mention way too many female gaming content creators think that because they're women in a male dominated hobby that they have to get political, which almost inevitably leads to people who never brought up anything of the sort before suddenly announcing "she/they" pronouns and a fancy new gender. The aforementioned Lindsay Jones for instance, but I can think of at least a couple other people I used to watch who've gone down that same route.
