I don't think I've seen any mention of Sana's family in this thread before. Of course that doesn't mean she's never talked about them, but I can recall at least one second-hand anecdote about every HoloEN's family except for Sana and Fauna.

This is from a dedicated Sana clipper. He seems to have come to terms with it. I thought he would be in suicide watch.

Sana’s graduation isn’t all that surprising but if you’re going to join a very sought after job and then leave not even a year later, why even go the extra mile? She didn’t even try that hard compared to her counterparts in terms of trying to capture a unique audience or a niche. People will probably forget she even was a member in 1-2 months.

Can't really know. If its health related then shit can randomly pop up without you knowing. If its related to the gatcha game art thing then yeah, seems kinda shit.

Isn't the scene kinda difficult to break into, too? Apparently, it is pretty unusual for auditions to be held for roles in the professional NA voice acting scene. People are directly contacted for roles rather than audition, so marketing yourself and building-up a resume seems to be the best thing to do.

Final thoughts on Sana after a bit of a break from everything since last night. I think this is really the best for her, reading some comments and others' point of views. Sana has mentioned her eating and sleeping habits before a while back and they were... not great. She apparently often will go for over a day without eating or sleeping to get things done. I can only imagine it has been worse since joining Hololive.

I once said that back injuries are no joke, and it is very doubtful she has really recovered much from it, as back problems can be and usually are permanent and on-going issues. Between Hololive and her art job, both of which would require sitting still or standing in place, it makes sense something would have to give. Her art work is definitely what keeps her afloat, so prioritizing that is definitely a no-brainer.

It sucks, but if she is prioritizing her health, like she seems to be, it is probably for the best.

The "giving up her friends in Holo" makes it seem like she will be focusing on her other job instead of this one.

The name isn't getting me any hits in the search function but I don't know if he was in discord under a different name. The other option is that this some joke and I'm too tarded to get it.

This has been bothering me for a while but it's just a fact that a large section of new vtubers think that being "yabe" is somehow edgy and cool and spamming their unfunny memes, degenerate posting and raunchy humour somehow makes them better than the boring, dated and mainstream idols of hololive.

When if you really think about it, most vtubers are coomerbaiting degenerates or atleast they aren't idols or pretend to be, so the actual mainstream in this community, specially the western side has always been raunchy shit.

That video with Shilily, Nihmune, and Bao comes to mind. That was one of the cringiest and least funny vtuber clips I have ever watched and I wonder what's the appeal of it.

That wasn't a new development exactly. Yagoo is not an idol business veteran, he doesn't really have entertainment/tv background either to my knowledge so you probably see more of his input in stuff like Hololive Alternative with their game projects.

Nobody insinuated Yagoo being an idol business veteran. I was just adding something related to the transition from "Idol" to "entertainment" thing. (One of) the basis of Hololive's idol reputation is from Yagoo's answer in an old interview stating that Hololive was envisioned to be a virtual AKB48 of sorts. People went with it and Hololive does have an idol company reputation, but the members don't really behave like typical idols and the memes of Yagoo suffering from success flourished. There wasn't anything official (or in black and white) stating that Hololive was transitioning from Idol to Entertainment. Other than Yagoo saying Cover is a Cutting edge 2d entertainment company, all this transition talk is all just implied from bits and pieces that fans have gathered since then, including the one I mentioned.

I agree with you, but I'm not well versed on japanese culture so they may have a different, still outdated view of idols. I dunno.

You've already been given the rundown but yeah. The new wave, Voltaction, debuting on the 16th are 4/5 of the remaining Gen 1 VTA members, with Kaburaki Roco still mysteriously held back despite being Gen 1's star performer.

In November 2021, they held auditions for a Gen 2. 17 members were then recruited and debuted in June 2022. Of those, one has already gone viral and gets 3K live viewers per stream but there are a few popular members.

In March 2022, they held auditions for a VTA Gen 2.5 exclusively for people with some streaming/content making experience. These people have yet to debut.

In June 2022, they held auditions for a 3rd Gen that has since closed. They have also not debuted yet and probably won't until later this year.

So, VTA is something they are actively supporting and will continue to be for the foreseeable - barring any unexpected shifts.

Damn, 3rd Gen already? I've said before that I think this program is a great idea, but is Nijisanji maybe pumping this too much? I know not everyone would be ending up in Niji, but quite a few probably will. If they're planning for a 4th Gen, I think they should maybe give a little time for the previous gens to solidify a fanbase before diverting fans' attention with another gen of shiny new toys. Or maybe do one for EN maybe, since the ENs last main gens have pretty much settled already

I still personally lean on the "health problem" rrat on Sana's graduation. Most likely her back's condition worsened or something, and she decided that cutting off streaming as a corpo is the wisest choice. I don't know, maybe she's going to have a surgery? Or maybe her forcing herself to finish her arts deadline actually destroyed her back even more. Who knows

She's an artist, she can probably draw while lying down and/or with adequate support but streaming is an entirely different beast. Not to mention 3D concerts, it would be awful for both her and the audience to see her struggling to do anything on the stage for several minutes, or simply too dulled by painkillers to be aware of her surroundings!

It still sucks to see this happen, but there wasn't much of a way out considering she got fucked over at every turn by different things. Precisely, it gets annoying. It's like with South Park and it's copycats, South Park is hilarious precisely because it isn't simply raunchy humor, there's more to it and it's balanced. Method in the madness. Shows that go around aiming to simply be offensive and/or raunchy aren't good precisely because they don't go any further than that and keep trying to top themselves on how low they can go, there's no substance, just immature projections. But western thots turned chuubas often forget to have talent or just never flex it on stream to play for the coom (Like Ama Lee, maybe i didnt watch her enough but shes just throaway as fuck)

Sometimes some streamers that hang out with that clique like Juniper Actias (moth chick) plays for the coom but then they flex some pretty neat model or art shit

I'm pretty sure I'm echoing a bunch of other people in saying that I didn't watch much of her but enjoyed what I saw. I thought she stood out more than the rest of her gen mates, with her thick accent and interesting, bouncy, brown model. I think why this hurts is because this wasn't her fault. She had a little bit of a slow start that was exasperated by her being injured. I feel real bad for the Sanalites. I always thought they were the most dedicated fan base out of all of council, staying around when she went on hiatus for so long. I'm happy for her being able to go out with her boots on and a smile on her face.

I never see her online as often as I used to. But Pikamee, at least, seems fine.

She said she wanted to say something before the news came out, maybe they didn't tell her when they were gonna release the statement until the last minute. I got the impression from when she said that, that she was being harsh on herself rather than being cold. She seemed to be on the verge of crying but kept it in.

Contrary to what other say, she really did try in the early days. She streamed consistently up until her October break and after it until she started having her back issues. Despite that, her growth was clearly far more stunted than the rest of Council, but even they had their own problems with slow growth. Youtube culled her channel the hardest, she lost like 100k subs pre-debut and shortly after debut. I think she was thoroughly fucked by the algorithm after that, as well. Once she had her back problems, there was no way she was going to be able to recover her channel without a massive effort she likely would not have been able to dedicate herself and know that it would have been worth the effort.

Pikamee kinda switched gears to being more reaction based..(not completely) and we have plenty of those chubbas already so people probably don't tune in as much. The 2nd gen of voms are the ones never talked about. TMSK is still doing her thing.
