General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

But she has plausible reasons to leave and is on good terms,
Along with other related quotes that I am too lazy to quote all of; just the general idea that she could come back someday...

People have said that Coco and Aloe have invites to come back whenever they want, does that mean 1. They can sign a new contract and come back to work, or does it mean 2. They can appear as a cameo if they'd like to?

Because even though it'd be so short after she left, I could imagine Sana coming back for a Council 1st anniversary stream, or at least like a recorded video cameo. Obviously not under a contract, but just "Hey, you were (probably) involved with the planning and merch and stuff for this, so if you want to show up to say 'Hello' you can."

Edit:
of all of HoloEN Fauna would have been near the bottom of the list of people I could imagine knowing who Pippa is
Fauna is surprisingly internet/meme savvy, I wouldn't be too surprised about her knowing all sorts of random stuff.

With the amount of people that visit this thread and the amount of people that lurk, someone posting here could probably get some random rrat to be taken seriously.
No.
Without giving away to much personal information i work at a Japanese company that regulary releases things. Its the Japanese work method of distract the worker with something else when something bad happens to keep them occupied. As ive said before whenever someone is fired or leaves we have a company retreat or we release something early so that bonuses arrive quicker. Its the whole idea of keeping the employee happy enough to not quit as well as appeasing the fans of the work with something new to keep them distracted.

With the way Cover operates i can imagine that they have like 3 gens in the backworks just encase of a graduation or something bad happens its the boosts the companies image as well as keep the fans happy to show investors aswell as workers that nothing bad is going to happen.

This is still a weird one to me, of all of HoloEN Fauna would have been near the bottom of the list of people I could imagine knowing who Pippa is {Irys is the bottom of that list, no question)
Fauna seems more outwardly knowledgeable of vtubers who aren't Hololive than most EN members, so it doesn't surprise me too much. Like she followed all of the NijiEN members pretty quickly when she first debuted, which is something most HoloENs didn't do. It wouldn't surprise me if she's looked up the rosters of the other main EN agencies.

Just that revealing holostarsEN when one of your beloved chuubas graduating is a shit scummy decision and reeks of japanese corporate bullshit. Even worse when half of this thread have seen that coming.
Why should they delay the debut of four people just because one person is graduating? "Hey I know you want to debut and maybe make some income but sorry we gotta wait, people on the internet are sad" would be scummier.

Are people actually taking the idea that Cover fired Sana to promote Holostars seriously?
Yes, Yagoo (PBUH) is the arbiter of all fates, yours and mine included. He has orchestrated the graduation of Fauna next as a blood offering to sow the soil for HoloES Gen 1. Mark my words, August 2023 will show that I am right!

It just seems to be a general tactic done to counteract the sadness of a graduation and keep the brand semi-upbeat in comparison.

This is still a weird one to me, of all of HoloEN Fauna would have been near the bottom of the list of people I could imagine knowing who Pippa is {Irys is the bottom of that list, no question) and it starts making me wonder on the how she knows. It could be as deep as Fauna is secretly a chan lurker that hides her power level well or it could be as simple as she saw the very recent Fauna themed Holocure stream and just remembered Pippa's name, add in Mumei's roomate following her on twitter and this is one rat that ain't getting caught without her just revealing it herself for some reason.
Fauna is definitely hiding her power level.

The dormant gremlin energy, esoteric internet lore knowledge and other strange things she can bring up at times I think is kind of at odds with the image she characterizes. It really makes me wonder just what kind of person she is offstream or what kind of shit she could do if she just unleashed a bit more of her power level.

I never saw Fauna as someone who may know about CWC or KF. She may have even saw Ralph hollerin' over Pippa.

1) This came up in /vt/ earlier today. The pet theory seems to be Mooms is a Pippa member on an alt account, and has talked about Pippa to the other Holo mems. I could 100% buy this for two reasons.

First, Pippa's stream content is without a doubt the type of absurdist entertainment that Mumei seems to love.

Second, those Holocure streams and clips didn't get much virality as far as I could tell based on the viewer counts, as well as testing Youtube search terms. It'd be one thing if Fauna recognized Pippa from the clips as "haha, funny pink rabbit". But she saw her name in only a little member sign up blurb and recognized her. That suggests a bit more level of familiarity than a lucky clip making its way to Fauna.

2) Do not let the UUUUU's and sugar coated voice fool you. Fauna is easily one of the most degenerate members of Holo-En. She has S-tier power level suppression, and only lets flashes through every once in a while. She is at he top of the list for "Most likely to be /here/ in Holo-En" along with Watson, Mumei and possibly Ina. While I buy the Mumei connection above, it's just as likely she's seen Pippa due to Pippa being the staple she is on /vt/.

The Hero, the Alchemist, the Gladiator, and the Scholar.

They're TTRPG class themed? Wtf is with the cyber video then lol
So "Hero", "Alchemist", "Gladiator", and "Scholar"
Someone can make a DnD campaign out of this
Not trying to have too high hopes for StarsEN just 'cause Holostars has been on the decline for a while despite UPROAR and all that, but if they actually do a DnD campaign as their characters, I might actually start rooting for them. That's a really interesting idea if they go with it.

I'm reminded of this ancient, unnecessarily detailed post that surfaced in the middle of a completely unrelated vt thread. Probably an example of a broken clock being right twice a day, TTRPG characters (actually JRPG) is a pretty easy guess if you throw out hundreds of guesses.

Given that they probably knew about the graduation about a month or two back it does feel like they did it on purpose. That said, its a smart business/marketing strategy.

My honest opinion on this is that its just bullshit they say to keep the fans somewhat happy and keep the hopes up. Could maybe 2 or 3 years in the future Coco randomly appear at a concert (if her current contract doesnt have a clause against it and if Hololive is alive?) then yes, it probably could happen and the fans would lose their shit. I think Sana might be in a better spot to do this given that her termination seems to be on better terms compared to the other two. That said, this could change if she joins another Vtuber corporation.

Not only do they try to hide and distract but now all of the eyes are on them because of this. What better time to promote something?

It barely was even a week when they announced sanas graduation and they dropped a new gen to divert attention. Bitch was literally streaming when they announced that shit,
You seem buttmad over this. Why wouldn't they do this? Or do you want them to wait 2 months more while the fans mourn the death of one of their talents?

Fauna is definitely hiding her power level.
The indie that was part of Fauna's clique (the dead cat girl) follows and often replies to Pippa so that might also be the connection.

Did a short clip for Phase2's robot mommy. Not sure how she did it or if she used a filter but its something that really took me by surprise given her usual voice.

Holyshit what a scum thing to do. Is sana actually scummy too since she announce her graduation near pekora's anniversary?

Godbless to her and hopefully everything's works out well her. But I personally don't care about her graduation and im pretty sure im not the only one who feels that way. 80% of hololive fanbase probably don't care about her graduation and I'm pretty sure more than 90% of hololive fanbase don't care about her before she announce her graduation. To me she's just a new talent that doesn't stream that is about to graduate.

Divert attention? If hololive really wants to divert attention they should release EN3 not StarsEN.

They spent a fortune on model and rigging for Aloe, just to get two weeks out of their investment.
They begged Coco to stay.
They sacked a massive pay pig because she broke contract.
They wanted Sana (who was underperforming) to stay.
They kept Aki around when she was a 2 viewer.
They keep Ayame around.

I've got plenty of bones to pick with Cover, but honestly I don't think dollar signs is their guiding factor, nor is there some 4d chess in the vtuber market. If there is some Zanatos gambit then Yagoo is a fucking genius, as Japanese companies tend to be stiif, rigid, and immune to risky ideas.
They also kept Holostars around the entire time and supported them (Yagoo was even their personal manager for a while before Shinove came in and Shinove is also well liked) despite their relative obscurity in comparison to the rest of Hololive. That's coupled with the fact that Holostars even has their own version of Hologra so yeah people claiming that Cover entirely makes decisions based on just making money and pulling EA levels of scumbaggery for a quick buck is either talking out their ass or straight up lying.
