Fucking Virginia cheaped the fuck out and probably don't want to bother finding a place for him. So they probably negotiated with whoever in charge of 14 Branchland, and ask if Chris can go back since there is no where for him to go. But afterwards, I think it's free for whoever in charge to evict Chris out if they want. Since Chris has no legal right to be in the house aside from being a tenant. But they probably won't do that, so Chris is saved from the homeless saga for now, until the bank comes a knocking when Barb finally croaks. Or Chris and his tard luck/ weens will save hime again when the time comes.

While I think a variation of that is going to happen i.e. Barbs not Home so Chris can go back ot the Temple at least for a period of time, I think even the local court system is aware that if nothing is done it will happen again and as @Pointless Sperg said this is a small town and they have a vested interest in dealing with the local village idiot once and for all.

I can see them saying @Well Barbs in X care, she has her own final salary pension, 25% of bobs and SSI" Chris get's his tugboat and can be set up for theat Section 8 payment plan there isn't much more we can do, the judge saying 1 year supervision from a Social Worker and banging his gavel.
