General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I didn't think hololive having a male EN branch would be an issue, is /vt/ sperging over Ame saying schizos should improve themselves genuine or just being played up as a joke? Even if they are retards who fear their oshi cucking them with some guy Matsuri even said company relationships aren't allowed.
Only between talent and management. Between talents is to their own valuation. (see the recent shion story)

Does anyone here disagree that HoloEN aren't very well managed at a corporate level?

My rrat is that Gura playing the YouTuber Life game and shitting on it is a not so subtle dig at what Cover corp is mandating in the background. There's an air of stagnation and, as of Sana's announcement, depression around the whole group and I feel like the girls passions and drive are just being ground to dust under the heel of business advisors.

Anyway on a happier note Lui's HoloGra debut was everything I hoped for:

/vt/ is in full-blown meltie mode right now between the graduation, Ame's recent shenanigans, and the vshojo stuff.

I can't wait for tempus to fulfill the prophecy, break the seventh seal, and usher in the end times.

The amount of times Ame has basically carried the branch makes it obvious that EN is grossly mismanaged. My rrat is that they didn't think EN would actually succeed and hired shitty middle managers as a cost-cutting measure. Now they're stuck with the shitty middle managers they hired early on because of Japanese corporate culture.

Although JP has the same problem with bad middle management. Maybe it's just something Japanese performers know instinctively how to work around.

The girls like their personal managers but middle and upper management has been hard to deal with since their having to contact people and wait for shit to happen as stuff they requested gets discussed and passed around by the business beuracracy that's on the otherside of the planet.

I think both HoloEN and NijiEN have the same issue: Managers doing their best to work with a bunch of fossils in suits that outrank them.

It's rather endemic of every industry now to have people who don't have a finger on the pulse of their audience leading the charge and making all the money while the passionate ones that love their job get tangled in red tape whilst also taking the brunt of fans' ire when things don't go well.

I imagine shit gets even slower when said business suits are in a another country.

Hmm I'm not sure about the stagnation thing, after all they just had their first full gen off collab a month ago. I'd guess it's a combination of come down from that event, with nothing exciting pushing the envelope that we know of and Sana's graduation, but it really has only been for a month that it's had that feel.

Stagnation definitely isn't the right word since they had their first 3D Lives also. It's just a bit somber atm cause of Sana.

Chicken is having a menhera moment on twitter about it all. Gura probably has a higher workload being in Mori's concert and I can only imagine how much more work they're dealing with. I'd say it's more on the girl's poor time management or the Black Company status of HL spilling into the EN scene, maybe a little of both. The Sana stuff just seems to put a damper on their energy or they're spooked about something revealed behind the scenes which triggered her graduation.

I cant help but shake the feeling that we are going to experience something that is going to really shake up the vtuber industry sometime in the next few months or so. There is lots of small pieces being moved around from the various corporations and put in place like Kson/Nazuna in Vshojo, Holostars EN finally happening, probably Holo EN3 later this year, etc etc you get the idea.

I'm talking like Coco graduation tier where there was nearly half a million people watching. Maybe I am going actually insane as of recent, you could argue Not-Rushia being in Vshojo is pretty huge thing this year and you would be right... But there still 5 months of 2022.

Calling it now, we have seen nothing yet.

ah yeah a company that "Well managed" or its more like "perfectly managed"? i don't know, maybe exist in some kind of fairy tale? lol
stagnation? idk, last time i heard people called council a failure, specially when mumei and fauna got doxxed having bf "its over for holo council" yet what i see is that they are fine if not getting better.so the "gachikois" doesn't really matter that much after all.

At least she will keep streaming on yt.

as she said in her stream, twitch for english, youtube (with gunpla) for nip. think she also said 3? times per week at least, but might remember that wrong and can't remember in which ratio etc.

besides, it would surprise me if she dropped youtube completely given that was her main platform so far and would mean crapping on the people that supported her in the meantime. kinda like the sora/niconico-deal (no membership on yt, and then pretty cheap, since she didn't want her fans on nnd to have to sub twice. she's just too wholesome for this world)

it could be interesting since ksons's (imo) best content was something she couldn't really do as an indie. now that she has some of the equipment again and a bigger "official" support network, we might see a return to form. not saying we gonna see coco 2.0, but there's a reason she was and still is as popular as she is.
now if you add the possibility of them catching some other big fishes... imagine for a second: live3d with not!coco and not!gibara. shit like that would've been unthinkable before.

as I told you niggas, an agency with more freedom (to a degree of course) can be quite attractive compared to being indie or under a corporate umbrella.
however I assume the biggest shakeups (if any) happen behind the scenes and mostly in nipland. don't think vshojo will suddenly make it big to threaten cover/anycoler, but if this thing works out and proves that organization model can work, and work well, see more of it spring up, which would severely shorten the gap between indies and corpos. it's really not different than what happens in other industries when the established big players become stagnant and too slow to react (not saying cover/anycolor are, but the management issues are more or less a constant topic).

I think both HoloEN and NijiEN have the same issue: Managers doing their best to work with a bunch of fossils in suits that outrank them.
Those suits includes Susan and her retards at Youtube (and Twitch) plus game publisher corpos (especially JP corpos) who cant just give a shit, just for you to know.

I blame cream boy Omega for every failure and yab within holoEN .
