So some bullshit organization that's part of the European Union called the European Observatory of Online Hate made an over 100 page booklet chronicling “online hate memes.” Unsurprsingly, a PDF of it leaked and unsurprisingly it is funny to make fun of.

The PDF for it, while supposed to be granted through requesting it on Google Forms, is now available here for your reading pleasure. Share your favorite parts of it.

091. Ukrainian Farmed Forces running gag MEME “Ukrainian farmers have heard of the alleged missile strike against the Moskva” During the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war, a number of documented Russian military vehicles ran out of gas or got stuck, and Ukrainian farmers would deploy farming tractors to (sarcastically) “tow them back to Russia”. This has led to a running gag. Running gags are common in memes, where one isolated event will be turned into a recurring trope to ridicule opponents’ weaknesses. In this case for example, Ukrainian farmers have been named one of the largest armies in the world in possession of tanks, and images of tractors speeding through water have been used to ridicule the sinking of one of Russia’s largest

Oh boy I have to tell Darth Putin about this.

It's not, though. The Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme provide grants that organizations can apply for to realize their bullshit proposals. The European Observatory of Online Hate (lol) is just a band of merry grifters that saw their chance to get some free EU money. The only ties The European Observatory of Online Hate has to the European Union is that some EU bureaucrat read their proposal, wasn't paid to give a fuck, and stamped a big fat "APPROVED" on the front page. The EU has a massive budget and wasteful spending is quite normal.

EDIT: I take that back. This is not an example of wasteful spending. This is amazing.
