This hate for rest stops is primarily because they hate the idea of roads and highways, as they would rather everyone have to travel by rail. Breezewood is the perfect strawman of how awful rest stops are because of that unflattering camera angle makes it look like a ridiculous caricature of a highway to push the narrative of “soulless American towns” in comparison to some old-timey resort in Eurasia that really only exists thanks to tourism wanting to see “authentic England/Italy/China/whatever.”Leftists have been sperging out about that picture of a truck stop for God knows how long, sometimes they compare it to a picture of rural China.
I don't know why they get so MATI over the existence of truck stops. You know, those places in the middle of nowhere where you can get gasoline, food, and hotel rooms while going on long road trips.
On that note, the Breezewood photo was manipulatively edited for propaganda purposes by a tree-hugging commie. The place is not even really a town more than it is a travel stop that people eventually started developing. Even your average rest stop town is better looking than it.
