General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I missed several Sana collabs and even the Universe Sandbox stream. Which was really disappointing for me. Especially Universe Sandbox, saw it was live but was too tired to get up I guess.

10 days till graduation. I’ll try to use the time to watch the other streams and the parts I missed of the ones I did watcg

kind of like how the Myth anniversary tears moved the JP audience even though they couldn't understand what was being said. It seems like this with Sana has also gotten their attention.

Secret Base is trending in Japan

and Polka was apparently crying right alongside the EN viewers

You admitted, that you feel wronged by streamers unless they physically or mentally suffer.
I feel the financial side is exploitative. If you were paying to hang out with friends, you'd feel exploited, right? I don't get mad, I just don't sub to them.
Serious question guys, am I bad in not wanting Shiina of PC to have more viewers?
It's really fun getting your messages read without spending SC, and getting Colours sang yesterday (among her following a few of my tips in Holocure) and almost got a Sawano Hiroyuki song sang today was exhilarating. It has happened before with me with Pomu when she had a few sub 1k streames early on, but (un?)fortunately she started getting more viewers and the interaction wasn't quite there anymore, so I don't watch her nearly as much anymore. So on one hand, I want Shiina to succeed, but on the other I kinda don't want to spend money just to interact with her lol.
I can sympathize yeah. The experience with a small audience is much friendlier. And it'd be healthier for the talents too if the same audience was supporting more of a middle class rather than a small handful of mega celebrities. (Although that only works if you do pay up - if anything you get more "bang for your buck" with smaller streamers, so I think it's better to treat that as getting more attention for the same amount of money rather than paying less for the same amount of attention).

Thing is you're either growing or you're shrinking. I think very few streamers will be stable at that level where it's enough to support a lifestyle but not so large an audience that it's overwhelming.

I never bothered to check before but it's interesting to see who's following Sana's non-holo account:

Ignoring the Nijis and Kronii, it's interesting to see Ayamy show up. Checking the same on her account she's followed by pretty much every Niji and Holo (EN and JP) that I follow. Is she a big person in the vtuber sphere or something? Her art is fantastic but I'd never heard of her until Pomu mentioned her.

Edit: Crying on stream should be illegal.
Kronii wasn't following her when I checked 4 days ago.

They should have had a knighting-type ceremony at the chairs at the end. Where Sana sat in the middle seat and Irys bowed down while Sana pulled out a star septor and tapped Irys on the shoulders and said something along the lines of -
"I pass my powers cosmic unto you, Irys. I will entrust you to watch over this galaxy with the same love and dedication you've shown as the HOPE of this world. May you rule with your fellow council members with trust and harmony"
Or something like that............

God dammit, Sana. I didn't even watch you! Why are you doing this to me?
On the subject of why Sana is hitting as hard if not worse than Coco.
