I would personally disagree when it comes to the older school kind of trans. I tend to take an admittedly very autistic research-report method to forming an opinion. Listen to people’s opinions, take notes, do research form my own, then challenge it again from time to time. The earliest notable one I can think of was an English transman, I would like to read his (or whatever pronoun suits your fancy, he served in the navy along with being a doctor so I’m inclined to be kind to him) book. I do agree on it being a mental illness but based on what I can gather from Wikipedia and other public sources he seemed like a pretty average person other than having the secret that he did that eventually got put into tabloids. I would think part of the reason he transitioned, especially given the time he was alive could potentially be misogyny but I would like to read the book before making assumptions about his character. His name is Michael Dillon on Wikipedia if someone else is interested in the research.

Thank you to the farms for being one of the few places I can still go to to hear varying (honest) opinions on a topic.

Shutting down problems and ignoring them like the Jehovah's witnesses means problems fester and reality is denied. It was a mistake to validate any form of gender bending fetish, or transgenderism/transsexualism.

Even with people like Blaire White or Buck Angel, it would have been better if there were therapies available to them to help them accept their identity as a member of their biological sex.

I don’t disagree, ideally someone wouldn’t have to go and change their body to feel ok or whatever the reason they do what they do is, whether its a magic pill or therapy of some kind, but unfortunately we cannot change what has already been done. We can only help change what happens for future individuals.

I don't really come to the topic from any big political or philosophical angle. Besides being against trooning kids and the censorship and media bias around the topic i don't much care for it. It’s true that most of the cows I follow are trans (even if some of them do a pisspoor job of maintaining the pretence). But their being trans is a symptom rather than a cause of their lolcow status. They see it as a way of escaping an identity they don’t like, either by creating a “character” for themselves or by creating a shield to deflect criticism. I think if a genie appeared and said, “You can be attractive, successful, popular and confident, but you have to present as your birth sex,” most troons would accept it without hesitation.

Strip away the trappings of female identity ( not literally for God’s sake) and what you inevitably find is a misfit. That’s not a bad thing per se, there are plenty of misfits in this world. Before the Internet, they’d be just a common-or-garden dork, hanging around with other dorks at the comic book store, the model train club or the weekly D&D session. For me, it's like a horrific accident of nature, or like a grotesque wicked injury, I feel sorry for the troons and their state of being, and ideally, I'd want them all to break out of their delusions and stop, but they're not going to do that, and despite the repulsion they instill in me, I can't curb my desire to see just how far they're willing to go. In pursuit of their impossible goal of becoming a woman, just how gravely will they ruin themselves? How much will they cede for something that logically (and that I believe they themselves actually realize on a subconscious level) can never be?
The most suitable thing to compare them to are those fraudulent martial artists who put up forcefields to repel attackers and fire chi blasts at their opponents, they fall when put up against even a little bit of scrutiny, but it doesn't take a genius to understand that. The real question to ask is: how far will they go to deceive people, and most likely also themselves, into believing their art is legit? I want to see the troons pushed to the final limits of their rejection of reality, what happens when unyielding mental illness meets undeniable biological fact?

I find people like Kevin Gibes, whose entire identity has come to revolve around being trans and nothing else, fascinating. They have committed to this so strongly and gone so far beyond the point where they could ever be convinced out of it, there's no way back, and now the only path left for them to take leads straight down to hell, and I'd like to watch the descent.

It's the extremely online trans-identified people who enforce this new gender ideology the hardest, and creepy fetishes/behaviour combined with a ginormous sense of entitlement are extremely common among this group. Places like Reddit have been cracking down harder on any criticism of them, almost as if they know the trans community is full of nasty degenerates but won't allow you to say anything against them as it prevents them from pushing their ideology and grooming the next generation of TRAs.

"Shutting down problems", as mentioned above, is how Muslims got to spend 20 years grooming and raping children in the UK, and I'm expecting Minnesota and Michigan is going to have a ton of similar stories pretty soon, since they're the American hubs of Muslim immigration. PL: Turns out a friend I had a while back (but have fallen out of touch with, more recently) has been struggling with her relationship with her current boyfriend. The boyfriend before that was an abusive, slimy fuck that was renowned for being a disgusting fuck that typically went after emotionally vulnerable women with mental health issues, especially younger women. After she got clear of that disgusting fuck, things appeared to go reasonably well, until she had issues staying on a sleep aid, and began waking up to her current man using her holes in the middle of the night, without bothering to go through the processes of "waking her up", "engaging in foreplay", or anything like that. She's not even adverse to "consensual non-consent" and similar wacky, kinky stuff, he was just simply taking advantage of her being on meds that had her insensate for 8-10 hours to use her as a breathing (but unconscious) sex doll.

His response to her discovery that he was repeatedly raping her in the depths of the night was to claim he was experiencing a lot of turmoil, because of the "evolution of his gender identity." He now claims he's "non-binary", and every time she's suggested they go to couples therapy for his continuing sexual assaults while she's asleep, him and their social circle attack her for transphobia. She doesn't want to have sex with him during waking hours? Transphobic. One of her "better friends" (not me, I've avoided participation in this whole shitshow) has even explicitly told her if she leaves him, she's going to be subject to smearing as transphobic.

Because troonism has undergone mission creep, which now means "trans is queer, non-binary is trans, anything that isn't explicitly homosexuality and lesbiansism are automatically trans, and trans=queer", so trans (and everything it's subsumed) is the most important identity shield. End even those are under attack, with troons having insisted "If you don't want to fuck my ladypenis, it's because you're transphobic!" for the last 5 or 6 years that.

I've had multiple gay friends confide they can't use certain dating apps, because those apps allow women claiming to be trans-men to make accounts, and those women spend all their time claiming to be bottoms, and harassing gay men.

The overall proportions of the rest of LGBT (compared to the rest of society) haven't changed appreciably. The ONLY group that's seen a huge increase in size is trannies, especially in the category of "teenage girls that claim to have gender dysphoria", which happens to also be the group most likely to be captured by social pressure trends. So far as "less to worry about for coming out", did you miss the part where I mentioned that troons like Zinnia were leading the charge like 3-4 years ago on "It's transphobic to refuse to suck my dick!", and the herds of transmen infesting gay dating apps and harassing gay men?

We've had 50 years of radfems screaming "MEN BAD! MEN EVIL!", a similar amount of time with the same radfems screeching that "gender is a social construct,!" and a similar amount of time with rising divorce rates, single parenthood, and near-complete removal of positive male role models from the lives of children. One of the biggest noted outcomes of that last bit is a startling rise in identity disorders. That's besides the huge uptick in all the negative outcomes for children raised in single-parent environments, like lowered educational and economic outcomes, increased criminality, increased substance abuse, increased risk of subsequent single parenthood, etc.

I think what makes them so fascinating is that fact that despite the atrocities these people commit and regardless of the horrors they utter quietly, they will still have massive followings of people willing to look past any foul traits directly because they are transsexuals. These people can predate on children and keep a following. It feels like many of them use the trans identity to hide behind while they commit barbaric crimes upon others.
