I won't be surprised if there's a glut of "natural" deaths in troons over the coming decade. Even those that stick to HRT and don't go for SRS will experience elevated levels of heart failure, cancer, etc.

My guess is that a lot of this will be blamed on doctors not taking trans people’s medical problems seriously, rather than trans people having more medical problems because they’ve done dangerous things to their bodies.

That's not how it works tho. They shouldn't skip too many sessions. Some men even have problems if they don't dilate just one day but it's not like the Amhole closes immediately. But every missed dilation day causes scar tissue to grow & makes the next dilation session harder & more painful but the Amhole can be widened again by dilation. If the troon didn't dilate for a long time & the wound is closed shut he need revision surgery.

My understanding is that Yaniv's surgery was an accident of history. Brassard's shop normally runs a healthy waiting list of patients from outside Canada who pay on the nail in hard currency, but then COVID closed the Canadian border. To keep the revenue stream flowing he was suddenly willing to take any business he could get, including crazy fatso welfare cases.
