He didn't say "'We' as in 'MAPs'" and he's never referred to himself in that way before. Might he have meant "we MAPs"? It was the Cuties and SIMPspiracy that made me go 'hold on a second'. Because he did project that he was actually a pretty normal, if libertarian-leaning, guy off the show, and back then it made sense. He had a decently normal software job or whatever it was, he went out with people, and then he just did some Internet shit on the side because it was fun.
I also think that COVID really messed him up, and having less and less people who respected him because of his many screwups also got to him.
