What's so odd to me about Tony-chan's whole diatribe is that it's assuming that TERFs (as a broad term for anyone not toeing the party line) care if these assholes want to do extreme body modification. Late, but seeing pics of Tony pre-transition with his friends made me super sad... if one of my friends introduced me to him and asked me what I thought, I can imagine myself saying something like, "he's cute and he seems like a fun person. Naturally, instead of the cover featuring adorable, healthy (give or take some paralysis) children of various races and phenotypes having a grand old time, that book instead had a bunch of adults and adolescents lounging in their underwear. Most of them were overweight, a bunch of them had clear plastic surgery scars, and for some strange reason, I’m pretty sure all of them were brown. And one of them had vitiligo, because of course.

If you look at the persona he presents, it's always as someone who is far happier and more interpersonally connected than he actually is. He is DROWNING in friends and hot lesbian partners. He is SO successful and important. He is SO happy and SO accepted by every cis person he meets. His activism is SO useful. But it takes ten seconds to see past it all and see that he is still very lonely and frustrated about how underappreciated he is (the recent seething about not getting a blue check is a good example)
