I don't think "The Governor of California wants to confiscate your guns." is gonna play in Plano, but what do I know? 🤷‍♂️

Texas probably isn't quite there yet. It would probably work better in Arizona, because it's not as red as Texas is, and the Democrat has a better chance of winning the gubernatorial race there this year than in Texas.

Every day the conspiracy theorists are proven more right, and we all go no shit sherlock. Now you know why that Schiff amendment from weeks ago is trying to block records being released around 1/6:

When Trump wins in 2024, we might actually get to see the Tranny Corps led by Milley just go "yeah, you won, but we won't allow Trump to take office, it has to be someone else."
So, it was a coup attempt, just by Milley and not Trump? I know Milley is a faggot, but he couldn't have just waited two more weeks until the 20th if he wanted Trump gone?

If this administration can't define a woman, it now is trying to not define a recession:

This has to be some of the worst playing of the optics game I've seen in a while. You can't just rules lawyer a definition into not being true to somehow prevent the actual consequences of the action - Even if you succeed in convincing the average, economy concerned american that we're totally not in a recession, then all you're really achieving is putting the idea of recession into their head deeper and deeper from the focus on it, while also showing them that "no the level of suck your dealing with right now is normal, a recession is worse" while everyone talks about the looming recession as fact at this point. You're just establishing in everyone's heads "Oh no its gonna get way worse".

I think they're doing it so they can "fact check" anyone who says we're in a recession.

You just said everything I was. This is so monumentally stupid that I am shocked.

But it -only- backfires. This little redefinition only will ever hurt them. A -lot-.

They thought Trump would fight harder against the Washington Screwjob with a Secret Service that was loyal to him.

Oh you haven't yet begun to fathom the sheer audacity of those that want to retain power By Any Means Necessary.
You're just establishing in everyone's heads "Oh no its gonna get way worse".
Every great lie has a kernel of truth in it, and this is it. People can still somewhat afford to go to work. People can still somewhat afford food.

For now.

Are you even surprised at this point? They think that people can't maintain an archive of the past, of what those words used to mean.

There's a reason that I say that sites like the Farms and the Internet Archive are already in the crosshairs.

Yes. Stop and consider how they normally use their redefinition tactic. They take an established but abstract concept (Gender, woman, etc) and rework the definition by inches until it means something else. Abstract here meaning "Lacks any day-to-day ramification". If you changed the word Woman to Figalderybar, no woman would actually change and no change would be felt. But trying to change the word Recession would be felt because we would still be -in- a recession. That is trying to change a practical term, not an abstract one. Then, in addition, they are trying to change it to mean something entirely different -on the spot-. Not by inches, but all at once.

This is superficially similar to their normal tactic but -so much more stupid-.

Which is funny because IIRC they made it clear to him everyone from Pence on down was either opposed to him or unwilling to back him. What was Trump going to do, order the Secret Service to start shooting up Congress? Christ, I hate that our political class is so out of touch that they cannot understand why someone might just walk away from a situation like that instead of trying to stupidly smash their way through it.

I hope that wherever your new place of residence is there's easy access to alcohol and low duties upon it.

I live on the same block as a liqueur store. It's glorious.

They also changed the definition of a vaccine in response to people pointing out that the clot shot wasn't actually a vaccine.

And that hurt them and is hurting them. Their attempted linguistic wrangling there was flatly rejected and lead to greater distrust of the vaccine. And that is despite the concept of a vaccine bordering the line of abstract and practical, a well as them at least trying to do it by inches.

Leftists don't care about reality. They care about being right both online and in their social circles. Who cares about double digit inflation or massive un- and under employment? As long as they can win their Twitter arguments and huff each other's farts in their gated communities and lavish parties, they don't give a shit about actually doing anything for anybody.

To me the really jarring part is that it's not even really a redefinition. They've just announced that what everyone previously thought was the definition isn't and just left it swinging in the breeze undefined. It's not that, It's something else. We'll tell you what later. maybe.
