YouTubers you hate that everyone else likes

But then he took his hiatus and let his wife do American Psycho. She talks about loving the movie and then the whole time bitched and moaned about how "hard" it was for her to do the count on it because of the huwhite male privilege and rage in the movie, even though you could see underneath it all that she creams to Patrick Bateman.

[...]

And then at the end her air of arrogance to state "My interpretation of the ending is that he 100% did all the murders in this movie because otherwise my whole spiel about the privilege of white men in the 80s getting away with everything wouldn't hold weight if this didn't happen!!" just left a huge sour taste in my mouth.

Ruined a review on a very good cult classic movie that deserved a way better deep dive in to the making of rather than focusing on the M E S S A G E of the director.
I simply read that video's transcript and pretended that James was reviewing the movie. It made a huge difference imo.

MasterofRoflness, legit some shitty paradox tard that tries to be "hecking based" by posting /pol/ memes and the like on youtube, also shilling for his shit twitch. i looked at his youtube and found a discord...

I used to be a fan of Cr1tikall/Penguinz0, but every new video I see makes me hate him more and more. The vast majority of his content of the last two years has been reciting a common opinion as if its quirky or insightful.

Recently he made a video titled "The Worst Line in Movie History" where he makes fun of a famously bad line from Fifty Shades of Gray. Fifty Shades of Fucking Gray, a movie that came out seven fucking years ago. A movie- and a line of dialogue- so ubiquitously hailed as bad that even Shoe0nHead made fun of it during her review of the movie with her then-boyfriend Armored Skeptic. Its a line of dialogue so commonly derided that there are videos of it with over 100,000 views. And yet, somehow, Cr1tikal decides its a good idea to waste everyone's time by making a video seven years late about how this piece of dialogue is not good. No new insights, nothing of substance to say, just "haha bad line haha".

This isn't a new occurrence. Videos like this are reflective of Cr1tikal's average output of content. Reciting old and established opinions as if they are interesting and original. Worst of all, his videos are popular. They get millions of views. He has a large, established following who eats this shit up.

It shouldn't bother me as much as it does, but every time I see a shitty new Cr1tikal video drop with 500k+ views within a few hours I get a little angry. Videos with asinine titles like "Netflix Needs to Stop" and "Why is Halo 2 Legendary So Hard". Does Netflix NEED to stop, Charlie? Will the fucking world end if they don't stop? Do you really not know why Halo 2 Legendary is hard? Is it really such a fucking mystery as to why a fifteen year old game that everyone acknowledged had balancing problems with the campaign mode would be difficult to beat?

I may have commented this here before (can't remember if it was this or another thread), but Critikal. I liked the old spoof infomercials, but his new content is crap. He was better before he did the face reveal. Now he coasts along on having a pretty face, looking vaguely Jesus-y, and recycling the same five jokes and social justice talking points ad nauseam.

Just realized the person above me mentioned Critikal too and wrote it much better than I could ever put it. C'est la vie.

i like whang's videos, but i don't like him.
he shits up the twitter feed with ethots, and lately he's been simping for tranny ideology and hunter biden of all people.
HE'S LIKE SO BASED BECAUSE HE DOES CRACK AND FUCKS HOOKERS GUYS! SIMP FOR THE PEDOPHILE TRAFFICKING COOMER TO OWN THE CONSERVITARDS AMIRITE?
hedonistic coombrain shit. i have to ignore his existence to enjoy his youtube content.
I made a pact with myself years ago to avoid basically every content creator's social media. There are quite a few people whose content I like, but they have a (justified to be honest) thread here in the farms which is basically "let's laugh at this guy's twitter feed." It takes a special kind of person to make good stuff, but the special really shows on their social media.

Robert Tolppi. I thought that he would be a more mature leftist, as he had good lighting and came across as serious. But that changed when he put out a video critiquing Blaire White’s performative activism video. In the video, after discussing White’s video, he self-flagellated about a Native American massacre that happened in his hometown centuries ago. Then he did a review on whether in is ethical for trans women to compete in women’s sports, and called the gender critical women that he brought up “TERFs”. I unsubscribed because he kept getting dumber and dumber.

I'm so pissed off right now.

Youtube recommend this dude to me, I had never heard of him but the subject looked interesting so I gave it a try. But it was just a cheap clickbait. There's no secret whatsoever, it's a fucking nothing burger.

This video wasted 20 minutes of my life and I already hate this cock sucker.

Meatcanyon. I don't even necessarily dislike the guy or his content; I just think the whole "Childhood thing, but dark" is overdone, and I get tired of having it shared around by people I know.
I feel like anything who creates content like that doesn’t like children’s media and can’t accept the fact that it’s made for an audience that’s younger and doesn’t know as much.

Well, it's that time again.

Jake Tran - I found his videos interesting but then came across one video where he shilled for the Silk Road and I realized that I cannot trust a word that comes out of his fucking mouth if he's low enough to cream for some GTA LARPer who got scammed into thinking he had people murdered and begging his viewers to support said pos. Druggies flock together I guess?

Rob Gavagan / Dyke - It's a shame because way back in the day when he was Dyke, his content was amusing. His inclusion of ads wasn't so jarring either. But then he became Gavagan, his content seemed to have gotten a whole lot fucking worse. He's still popular somehow and it baffles me as to why. For one, shilling for companies became horrible.

I caught one of his videos in the Nexpo thread and holy shit, it was actually bad. Plus, I happen to have a personal principle of unsubbing from anyone who asks for lights and subs at the beginning of videos...and Rob just happened to begin fucking doing this and I hate it.

Pre-cancelation Lindsey Ellis - I remember that everyone kept telling me how I should totally watch her content and how insightful she was. They implored me to use her points when writing fantasy racism and shit. And I'm sorry but I never liked her content after she dropped Nostalgia Chick...and even that was kinda meh.

How come the dumb bitch who got sausages thrown in her face, made a shit documentary about abortion, got arrested after a bad bender, and made a cringe rape rap be this paragon of insightfulness?

Of course, she's canceled for whatever fucking reason now, it doesn't matter I guess.

Max0r

I liked him for a brief period before I started to notice him telling the same jokes in multiple videos, using the same quips and generally lacking in comedic variety. Furthermore in his last couple of videos he's started to lose to the temptation of any popular Internet person to add their political opinions into their videos, it's subtle for the time being but it was not existent a few videos ago and I can see it becoming more frequent as time goes on. Finally, his editing style is so lightning fast while simultaneously using the same 5-6 effects that usually involve loud noises and saturating the screen that his videos are less funny and more headache enducing. I just think he got too popular too quickly and has fallen into a video style that makes him a lesser version than what he could have been.

It's a real shame too because Rob is the one who got me into the HorrorTube sphere. He used to make super professional creepy content. It could have seriously been picked up by Investigation Discovery or some shit because it really was just that damn good. It was well edited, well narrated, and well researched. Some of the best "creepy content" on Youtube. Then the adpocalypse hit and that's what ruined him. Youtube deemed his videos bad for ads.
He tried to fall back onto his Why Would You Post That on the Internet series but that was a bomb. He was the horror guy. Not the funny commentary guy. His comedy just came off as incredibly forced, as if he was crying behind each word.
Then he changed his name to Gavagan because Dyke is le wurty durd and yeah, the rest is history.
He tried to go back to his spooky content but it just wasn't the same in any way.
Genuinely a shame it went this way for the guy

I don't like Some Ordinary Gamers much

I dunno what it is but I just can't stand his content and I can't put my finger on why. I find him grating
My honest to god problem with Mutahar is like with most other YouTuber, and that's with people always virtue signaling and clout chasing. That's what I cannot stand. If anyone does that, that's when I draw the line. I missed the days when he used to do creepypastas.

He had the ability to make everything sound haunting. Also, the surname Gavagan doesn’t suit him.

Reaction channels in general. No specific names, I just don’t get the appeal. Most of the female reactors just seem like your standard e-thots and most of the male ones are your typical soyfaced consoomers. Who gives a fuck what they have to think on anything?

Political Reaction Channels

I've noticed an influx of channels, mostly African-Americans, who watch Neocon (Ben Shapiro tier stuff) & Thomas Sowell videos about the most basic conservative talking points or videos about the institution of slavery and all their reactions amount to is basically "I never knew that" or "I never looked at it that way". I suppose it's good that they're exploring a new perspective but why does this need to be a video, much less an emerging genre of people going from normie liberals to normie conservatives. This just feels like bait for boomercons to latch on to to say "see, the left are the real racists". I just find this new genre to be pointless at best and pseudo-intellectual at worst.

There are channels, big channels, that do his type of content but better through superior comedy and a somewhat more restrained editing style. SsethTzeentach, whom he gets compared to a lot is one. Martincitopants is another, though the types of games he covers are quite different to Max0r. If I want to watch what are effectively quirky game reviews/playthroughs, I'll stick to them.

Honestly his editing is like if Seth just made every video that one farming simulator MLG video he did except extended to 30 minutes.
