Bounty is a bit of weird trend in Indonesian Netsphere, basically if you have a beef with someone (usually more often than not related to illegal or unsavory things), some people will put up a "bounty" like this. Sometimes it's done for "common public enemies" as well, like zoosadists. This trend gets worsened if you realizes that most Indonesian has poor opsec, and has a tendency to go overboard when doing some stuff (hell, people often gets doxed in matters of hours when you're designated as a "public enemy")

Theirs two specific cases both of which can trace their origins to the Taiwan Yab/Chinkout.

One story was about a Chinese anti that impersonated either Anya or Ollie during their debut announcement time. They basically did this to trick Watame into responding to them which it did happen and the person laughed about it

This caught the eye of the Watamates so they ended up digging into this guy and as it turns out the person was part of the original harassment campaign that was sent against Coco. This basically put him on the Watamates shit list.

What proceeded to happen was Watamates doxxing his information and they even caused his own Social Credit Score to get slashed. The person was also a nationalist who wanted to join the army but ended up getting rejected.

The second incident is similar in that it involves another Chinese doxxer and harasser that participated in the Coco campaign. I don't know the specifics of what they did to get in the crosshairs of Watamates but they ended up doxxing him as well. They ended up finding out he was a secret crossdresser so when his info went public his family ended up furious with him. The person attempted to commit suicide after but lived their attempt.

Jeez. On the first hand they get what they deserve because they lead a hate brigade against the talents. But on the second hand one of them did try to commit suicide, And this got me thinking that maybe one day will we got to a point that it will get too far? Will respond to every criticism of every talent result in doxxing?

There hasn't been any case as big as that until the whole Kobo thing I posted so it takes some specific justification to actually escalate the fanatical groups that far. The Watamates specifically basically considered it fair game because the people involved were part of the Coco Harassment Campaign.

I don't doubt your story but a unified "social credit score" doesn't yet exist in china, just various private agencies and low level local government that each have some kind of scoring system limited to financial stuff and by national law
So unless the watamates found out that they guy didn't pay taxes or dumped his garbage by the road he likely didn't suffer any consequences.
