If it goes to trial, closer to 100%. Null did afterall foreword information to the State about him stealing Barbs money and breaking the restraining order. If breaking that restraining order is one of the charges the State will need Null as a witness to verify the crime. I don't see this going to trial though. Chris is going to get threatened with Hard Time, and then offered an easy way out. He's going to take the easy way out.

Either way, A Subpoena with Josh's name is probably already in the mail. Shit sucks, but that's how this goes. its possible he'll be asked to fill out a sworn statement for the Grand Jury. But only if Chris is a retard and doesn't plead out.

What do you mean “just”? If it’s gone this far a misdemeanor plea is off the table. And the Prosecutor has no reason to care if Chris changes his mind.

Not necessarily. Circuit court can still hand down a misdemeanor sentence. In the Snyder case, Chris was indicted on a felony and it went to circuit court (presumably from fucking up a plea deal while in district court), but his plea deal involved being wobbled down to a misdemeanor.

Basically what this means is the State is done playing games with Chris and shit has gotten really serious for him, so lets hope he pays attention to his legal counsel. Its still entirely likely he ends up released at the other end of this in a few weeks time. However, the circumstances of that release are going to be VERY restrictive. Especially depending on the nature of the crimes he pleas out too in exchange for time served and parole. For example, the J&D court can't hand out 20 year sentences with 19 years suspended. The Circuit Court CAN. Which means Chris could be set free this year, and be given 19 years of Parole where he will be required to check in with Social Services on the regular, be put on the sex offender registry and so on.

Is a suspended sentence on a felony called "parole" in Virginia? It was my understanding that it's "felony probation".

If they do slap him with a large suspended sentence, how long do you think his probation period will be? As I understand it, recent reform has capped it at 5 years maximum for felonies, so you can't keep people on probation forever.

One thing I'm most curious about is if they could try to use deferred disposition. I know that that is a recent option for mentally ill defendants, but I'm not sure how it's being applied and the severity of cases to which it has been applied. Do you have any insight on this?

Fellas. We've seen from troll call after troll call that when Chris is directly verbally lambasted for something, he utters his dumbass sigh and goes quiet and just hopes the other party shuts up. ESPECIALLY when it's presented in a calm and matter-of-fact manner like ABL did, and how I'd presume the court would be handling him.

In all likelihood, Chris just stays quiet and squirms around in his seat going "mmmh...nnggh...." for however many hours it takes while everyone else deals with his shit for him. If his defense knows what's good for him, they'd ensure that he doesn't get the chance to open his mouth all that much, too.

If the defense handles everything, then it’s over for Chris. Dude can’t stand being insulted and will likely react if they go the insanity route. This is likely to be magnified now that he thinks he’s the reincarnation of Jesus. Maybe classic Chris would stay quiet but not Prison Chris. And that will be his undoing.

Not jail, but actual hard prison time. Depending on what the grand jury indicts him on and what he gets convicted of (by plea or trial) he could be facing years in a pound-me-in-the-ass prison, although, due to his "special" nature, he'll likely be in a protective custody unit for his protection.

I think that special status went out the window when Chris willing bought a book on how to have sex with the disabled. You can't blame the trolls for tricking Chris on this one.
