What exactly does HR1808 do? Anyone have a primer?
It bans the sell of anything the bill considers an assault weapon. Like I said, it's not going to pass in the Senate. Manchin probably won't support it, and the Dems will have a hard time finding rino cucks eager enough to end their careers by voting for it.

Every third bolt action deer rifle in the US is chambered in the same round as the M1, you can buy .30 Carbine for the M1c at practically any gun store, and 7.62x39 is probably the second most popular center-fire rifle cartridge in the US
Not to mention there are entire small gunsmithing companies dedicated to producing modern, quality reproductions of all those weapons, SKS excluded to my knowledge - and the only reason its excluded is because they're still digging up and exporting barrels full of the things from the countries that made them, and a few nations (admittedly small) still have them in some level of active service beyond ceremonial. And if you don't want to buy some fancy modern build, there's enough surplus floating around to arm practically the entire fully mobilized reserves of NATO, just with the Garand. I'm not even joking.

People love those old guns, and they'll still do their job as well as they did a hundred years ago.

I can't decide if this is good for calling their stupidity, or giving them more ideas.

Then again, the point he's making is that "weapons of war" include basically every firearm ever.

I guess the 2A community will have to spit it out at some point.

A bullet is a bullet and guns are primarily designed to kill people.

And they got to keep the "muh tyrannical gubmint" crowd away for optics reasons while pushing for the idea of self defense being made easier and is a primary basic right, no matter what the Europoor cunts or Anglo cunts or secular humanist athiest fedora tipping academic fags or boomerlibs or karen moonbats insist on.

Fuck it, I'm gonna glow. If the ban passes every assault weapon owners should load up and head to DC to let their displeasure be known the old fashioned way.
It's so sad that Exceptionally Exceptional was found dead at his home, we never thought he would suicide he seemed really happy the day prior but i guess you never know. That being said who knew he was such a skilled marksman he was able to shoot himself twice in the back of the head and sever his spine perfectly, truly a master

House has passed the bill with roaring cheers and laughter.

Senate will most likely pass this. Republicans and democrats are your enemies; Politicians are your enemies.

Fuck it, I'm gonna glow. If the ban passes every assault weapon owners should load up and head to DC to let their displeasure be known the old fashioned way.
The only ones who politicians care about is themselves. So this is my vow, all politicians will die in Minecraft.

Really sad that I also opted to murder an entire taskforce of federal agents who were inexplicably in my living room before comitting suicide. Damn shame.

Well it also going to be challenged and sent to SCOTUS as well.

And in the wake of Bruen, will under this SCOTUS it will get shot down.

5 Dems voted no, 2 R's voted yes, 1 R abstained. (Surprisingly, it wasn't Lizard or Kinzinger).

I'm convinced Henry Cuellar is the only remaining Democrat who isn't a complete faggot.

My own rep (whose name I won't mention) voted to make me an ex post facto felon. Fuck them. And may Jabba the Nadler get punted in his fat ugly gunt.

Which is why they wanted to ban the purchase of it by Americans back in the day, if I understand the twitter hot takes correctly...

... because it wasn't a weapon of war, and thus Americans had no right to it.

In Miller, the Court held that short-barreled shotguns were not used by the military, and because the 2nd Amendment protected only weapons that were useful to the military/militia, the SBS was not protected by the 2nd. Thus, it could be regulated, taxed under the NFA, etc. As you noticed, they never follow their logic to its logical conclusion: firearms that are used by the military/organized militia like the full auto M16 and M249 are protected by the 2nd Amendment.

I don't know man, I could see that for a quick background check. More then enough stories of people abusing seniors at senior living.

Asking for an SSN or doing a background check at the initial application stage is very sketchy. That should happen after you have a conditional offer of employment.

And if you don't want to buy some fancy modern build, there's enough surplus floating around to arm practically the entire fully mobilized reserves of NATO, just with the Garand. I'm not even joking.

A quick bit of advertising: If you have the right paperwork, you can buy a Garand from the CMP and they will ship it to your door. CMP is nearly out of stock but it sounds like they expect to get more.

For those that don't know, ex post facto means that he would be retroactively be considered a felon as soon as it's passed.

Damn.

Those gig economy type companies outsource the overhead costs to the contractor in order to keep prices down, and lo and behold, some office drone playing gypsy cab driver in the evening is not going to be as effective in running cost analysis as someone with a trained accounting team. I know very few people who did Uber or Lyft for more than a few months, and none that lasted more than two years (outside folks who used it to do shit like carpool strangers on their usual commutes). Eventually every gig contractor twigs on that when you account for gas, wear and tear on your vehicle, and lost personal opportunity costs, you're doing a high stress job for what is essentially minimum wage or less.

With gas prices rising, and the supply chain crisis hitting auto parts, I think those gig companies are going to have trouble finding new suckers to serve as contractors, in the same way Amazon is now having trouble finding warehouse employees. People are catching on to those tech companies money saving tactics.

I made $5500 gross in the last 30 days driving both Doordash/Grubhub full-time using an older car (who gives a shit about wear and tear in a car with 200k miles) and my only real costs that I can't avoid or deduct away were gas. And this is in California we're I'm already paying out the ass for fuel.

If you do gig economy jobs and don't use every possible tax advantage offered to you you're retarded.

Considering tons of people are hooked on food app delivery I don't see those going away anytime soon.

FUCKING. THIS. I literally said the exact same thing @KylesDickIsOut said earlier, and yet I got bombarded with rainbows and "NU-UH, THE SENATE'S GONNA CUCK BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS HORRIBLE". This is why the right keeps losing: because you guys keep believing the left saying you will. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. And the times we DO win (see: the RvW smackdown and the 2A SC ruling in June, and Trump's Presidency), it's like they don't exist. I'm tired of all of you doomposting faggots. THEY. ARE. NOT. INFALLIBLE. LOSING. IS. NOT. INEVITABLE. STOP. TAKING. THE. FUCKING. BLACK. PILL.
