That's more a nationwide government mandate though, with no chance of it changing. Even the opposition parties love camp covidian sacraments. Some places even mandate vaccination and "keeping up to date" like new human resource models rolling out of the factory. There was even a video sometime ago of factory workers leaving their workplace en mass when covid inspectors arrived, mostly because the workers were illegal immigrants and they don't want anything to do with government vaccination status tracking.

COVID restrictions were much stricter and with surprisingly high enforcement in the developing countries that I listed above. Countries like the Philippines and Indonesia have always had high levels of corruption and have never been known for their competence. The fact that they have managed to keep up restrictions like vaccination discrimination until today, with enforcement equal or better than more competent countries like Germany and France, is scary. It's also allegedly very hard to near impossible to bribe your way into a saline shot or even exemption from the vaccine. That is not normal and should sound alarm bells that something is up.

Its more of a corruption at the top vs corruption at the bottom. Government officials get kickbacks for being the only ones officially allowed to import the vaccines (yeah I live in one of those shitholes where every import requires government permit fees and customs duties), they would really like the vaxx stock to clear out so they can import more. Medicinal practice is also extremely regulated, you aren't allowed to practice without first working basically working for free for the government for a few years first, nobody wants to lose their license over unsubstantiated rumors of getting saline shots.

I have no idea about Asian fitness culture, I'm assuming he means those places are "skinnyfat" i.e they have less excessive diets but still are, on average, completely physically untrained. They're skinny instead of fat, but neither group hits the gym.

Hey - Japan has a significant gym culture, from what I've heard.

It's just...y'know, the cultural stereotype that guys who are swole take it up the hole.

Bodybuilding is actually getting pretty popular in Asian countries, and I hear from some guys who work over there that many businessmen hire personal trainers for things like weightlifting, martial arts, etc. I think what they said is that it's something to do with having a dude who trains you personally being a bit of a flex, but I'm probably talking out my ass with that.
I also hear from Asians that a decent amount of them did have at least some type of physical activity as a hobby, swimming and jogging being more popular than weights. Though it probably changed as many developed societies shifted towards more sedentary lifestyles over the years.
As for the gay thing, here in America our stereotype is more in line with a fairy twink, Japan always portrayed them as a 'hard gay'. More in line with the Village People than anime femboys, ironically.

I think that can be explained by the fact that ritualized homosexual relations between samurai in feudal Japan were common and since they were part of the warrior class they were all strong and muscly and shit. Covid tests have a large degree of error in them. PCR tests were not meant to be used for Covid diagnostics, and home tests are worse in terms of accuracy,.
