The thing I'm seeing online is that it's clearly being astroturfed by Russian interests to cripple the Democrats. I'm starting to get antsy about how 2024 will shape up if conspiratorial thinking is still that entrenched in the American psyche.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more mention of the fact he's working with ex-Republican politicians. It might not sound like much but he's already got a former Representative and former Governor on board. To these people that should be the main piece of evidence to prove that he's a GOP plant or whatever.

In retrospect, maybe the dimensional merge did happen since all these cartoon characters keep popping up as real people.

When NPC theory became a thing on 4chan I thought it was really funny and a good "gotcha." You are right about the "oddity" part. I'm still trying to make sense of what happened. Politics didn't seem that important but then it did. I only know one person IRL who moved R also and she was more anti-D than me for a much longer time.

I guess it was populism that did it. I think I'm a late member of the Bernie->Trump pipeline. I hated wokeism and 2015 Bernie was all "class." After class stopped being a thing on the left I just couldn't take it seriously anymore.

The main reason I'm on this site is because it has some 90s democrats who are not OK with where things have gone, but also some people who have always been right leaning and it's an interesting conversation between those two worlds.

This is exactly what happened to me.

My GF has only really known me on a personal level since after hostile take over by the Dems. She can not believe with how much I can't stand the Dem party I did vote for Bernie the first time around. I wasn't aware there was so many Bernie to Trump people.

I wonder why they are seething so hard about Andrew Yang, nobody voted for his meme neetbucks the first time around when he had the possible backing of the democratic party money (when they had it). much less now that he's running independently

They seethe because Yang might just have the potential, if left unsmeared, to become something they truly hate - a spoiler. He also mentioned a specific number of local/non-partisan officials he wanted to have in his party by 2024 (implying an initial focus on local politics), and local politics is a weak spot for them so that might also be concerning.

He's a retard but if he starts small and stays local for a few years he could eventually become the Grand Nagus.

that'd be a sight to behold, i don't think it would be possible to see a red california anywhere this century, but yellow california? could be if the Yang gang plays local politics well and divorce from BLACKROCK globalist agenda
