The One China policy has been around since Nixon, so it's technically not that much of radical shift. Which is one of the reasons why I said Taiwan will be annexed by China during this administration; The US technically does not have an embassy in Taiwan; it's called the American Institute of Taiwan. I'm well aware it functions as an embassy, but it also means its services can be taken down without the diplomatic fallout a de jure embassy would generate. Under a president that was bribed or sympathetic to Chinese interests, the actual utility of the US Navy is questionable; even if a smart admiral were to take initiative, he can be countermanded and replaced by the Feds. And really, he'd be an admiral under General Milley, so I can be certain he will not act without orders.

Don't think Tucker liked Trump in the primaries, but he's be the loudest pro-Trump guy in the media for years now. Hell, politicians hanging out who openly hate each other was normal until at least Obama's second term so it's hard to see this as abnormal.

Yeah Tucker had gotten pissed about Trump not wanting to go even harder with Rona policies and was a source for various journos and book writers for anti-Trump rumors.

Makes the appearance here and laughing with Trump a bit funkier. Will be a little interesting if Tucker has Trump on his show in the coming weeks as I'm not sure the last time Tucker featured him in spite of how available Trump makes himself for interviews.

This is actually a very good sign. So long before most of the poster's here time, this was normal. While there were always differences both beneath the tents and between the parties everyone mostly got along. Oh yes, there had to be a show to the voters about how greatly everyone disagreed, but at the end of the day it was acknowledged that everyone had to work together and so the show shouldn't be taken personally.

Things like the Uniparty are perversions of that principle. And are what have led to the rot within our society. Returning more towards the idea that the show can continue but the deep divides can be healed... at least within a party, is a big step towards ending the division entirely. Parties riven by divides cannot hope to heal the greater one.
