Hyojin Choi, or more popularly known as Squizzy/Squizxy online, is a 23 y/o Korean-Australian artist hailing from Sydney. Much of her fame can be attributed to her shitpost animations garnering millions of views on YouTube, along with her close ties to many other young and popular creators, including the likes of Pyrocynical and PunkDuck. While on the surface, much of her fame and popularity makes her seem rather innocuous, Hyojin's managed to embroil herself in all sorts of drama and controversy over the years, with each instance somehow becoming far more severe than the last.
^Imagine having a "Wikitubia" entry where you only have a single paragraph talking about your content, while the rest extensively covers numerous allegations and controversies you've been involved in. Normally you'd expect this from some Minecraft/Roblox sexpests or prank channels and not some semi-famous online animator.
Before diving in, I owe a lot of credit to Hyojin's lolcow farm thread for providing relevant screenshots and clips over the past few years. I recommend giving it a read if you're looking for some further context, though just like with this thread, take some of those posts with a grain of salt (particularly any posts from people claiming to have been ex-friends with her).
^Even if you've never heard of her before, you may at least be familiar with her monke meme video that went viral.
The Artist in Question
Prior to reaching her online fame (and subsequent infamy) as an animator, Hyojin had started out like many other digital artists in their teenage years: Posting her mediocre work on DeviantArt, while also talking shit about other artists who disagreed with her (Journal Entries via Wayback).
Despite Hyojin's thread not falling under the category of "artcow," it's practically inevitable for any artistic lolcow to be involved in some drama surrounding shoddy artwork, tracing, or of course, degenerate NSFW material. Hyojin is no exception, as she's managed to complete the trifecta:
She tried charging a lot of money for commissions, only to promptly be called out for tracing over the background. The commission post would later be taken down after the callout was made:

Context: This is porn of two real life minors she was friends with at the time. This was drawn on her secondary account @nsfwfennec, where she drew and publicly posted porn of several other underaged people, oftentimes without their knowledge (like with the "gamer police" drawing). She's also allegedly defended lolicon porn as "just drawings on a computer".
The greyscale image with heart censors was drawn around the time she got this new haircut, so it wouldn't be a surprise for that to also be her own self-insert.
Begging for Attention
Even without the promiscuous artwork, Hyojin's heavily implied how she aspires to become an e-thot, often throwing around a lot of "jokes" about opening up an OnlyFans or posting nudes when Hell freezes over.
It also doesn't help how she's been vocal about people prying into her private life as a semi-famous e-celeb, all while posting TMI DMs between her and her boyfriend:
Needless to say, Hyojin tends to overshare a lot of personal stuff, even amongst some of her "close friends". Apparently one such ex-friend got tired of her antics and ended up leaking screencaps from her private Twitter account on her lolcow thread:
The Initial Drama-rama
Although I have barely touched upon Hyojin's terrible character, you may have picked up on this from some of the lolcow posts in the prior sections. Primarily the ones mentioning just how vindictive and spiteful she can be. This wouldn't become as widely known until the Summer of 2019 when her friend Michael Kucharski (Slazo) had been accused of raping and abusing his ex-girlfriend Chey. For those of you somehow out of the loop, you can read up on that whole shitshow here for a brief summation or watch any of the recap videos featured.
Rather than recount most of the information previously discussed, here's the stuff that's relevant to Hyojin herself:
Chey and Slazo were both friends with Hyojin, along with some other creators like ImAllexx, KingAnii, Weestener, Kwite, BluesDank, and Dolan Dark. When these bombshell allegations were dropped by Chey, all of these creators immediately took Chey's side, with some of them shitting on Slazo for being a real piece of shit. Now, that itself wouldn't be an issue when it comes to friends supporting their friend; however, when Slazo came around to give his side of the story (video posted in the OP of Slazo's thread), it revealed how Chey had intentionally manipulated her private messages with Slazo to be taken out of context, and thus framing him to appear as some kind of monster.
While Dolan had put out his own public statements on the matter about how he may have jumped the gun, the other aforementioned creators, including Hyojin, doubled-down when pressed:
A month would pass, yet most of the creators refused to change their stance. Around this time, new info would be dug up involving things happening behind the scenes. Supposedly, the gang had been part of a group chat with Chey, where it seemed as though they had maliciously intended on ruining Slazo's career from the very beginning:
There was also a call between Nicolas DeOrio and ImAllexx where Alex had claimed that Hyojin had clear malicious intentions in the group chat, and that she was the one who wrote the final version of Chey's abuse allegations (not Chey the victim herself). A recording of this call was never released, and Alex is known for being a slimy fuck, so take all of this with a massive grain of salt.
As an aside, it's funny how in this old recap video from Primink, Hyojin was pinned as seemingly the most shady out of the entire "support group" doubling down:
To add even more fuel to the fire, people dug up old discord messages Hyojin supposedly sent, along with some other allegations being presented in Turkey Tom's original video (which was later edited out, one below is a separate retrospective) about her abusing a friend's pet dog and drawing NSFW art of her irl friends (at least 1-2 of which were underage).

Unfortunately for her, the public backlash was in full swing. Hyojin, unable to handle all of the hate, had attempted to take her own life. Many people have debated on whether or not she simply faked this for sympathy, though some people who claimed to be close to her have stated that it definitely did happen, or at least was very likely to have happened given her past behavior:

Eventually the hashtag #LoveforHyojin got trending on Twitter (and was even supported by Slazo of all people) to try and help her recover, and from there, the drama had seemingly died down.
As time would pass, she would later go on to address the whole shitshow during one of her livestreams, and she would also seemingly make up with Slazo behind the scenes:
And with that, Hyojin was able to squash the beef and learn from her mistakes. Things seemed to be getting better for everyone! Even @Thafnine was so pleased by this outcome!
...Except things didn't stay this way for long. In fact...
It Got a Whole Lot Worse
Even a year after Slazo and Hyojin had settled things privately, some fans never got that memo. As a result, random detractors continued to pin blame on Hyojin for being a malicious individual in both her comments section and Twitter posts.
Her boyfriend at the time, PunkDuck, would vehemently defend his girlfriend's honor against many of these callous rumors being spread. He even tried to callout Tom as being a self-proclaimed racist and for admitting to have fabricated allegations just to troll her:
And so as more time had passed, it would become quite the surprise to see PunkDuck, arguably her biggest supporter, drop a bombshell of his own this past month (7/19/2022) where he claimed that Hyojin had abused him over the past few years:

This whole thing basically confirmed what I already had suspected: Hyogin is BPD Whore incarnate. Highlights of this include:
- Hyogin, being BPD Whore incarnate, was never wrong, and Ed did everything he could to appease her.
- The two meeting right as Covid shit hit the fan.
- Ed's mom, not knowing Hyogin is FUCKING LOADED, paid what I could only assume were thousands of dollars to get her back to Australia from Belgium (Ed's home country), this being right after she had done a stream to raise for the funds to do so.
- Ed, for a picosecond, gains enough confidence to confront Hyogin, and she promptly slaps it out of him, making his head "bounce off the wall" with how hard it was, resulting in Ed calling a friend and GTFO'ing.
- He was caught by her, and she attempted to stop him with a knife, resulting in Ed attempting to disarm her, and her mother walking in and calling her a drama whore (I have a feeling this wasn't the first time in many she's done this).
- Ed was duressed into making a statement to drop the charges so she wouldn't have trouble visiting outside of Australia.
- They song and dance over breaking up FIVE TIMES, until Ed finally musters up enough courage to make it stick.
- I don't know if Hyogin is Enby or some shit cause he keeps calling her "they" or if he's trying to disconnect.
- She attempted to tell everyone her side of the story regarding the DV, but he's hoping this post would shut it down.
I've gone ahead and included the screencaps in a zip file for anyone to parce through, but that's about as much as I've gone through this.
Hyojin confirming all this via Discord months ago in her apology:
The timing of this didn't help either, considering she had just surpassed a million subscribers on YouTube the month prior. She's currently lost 13k+ subs and continues to lose more.
And as for how the fans feel about this, many have been shitting on her in the comments section of her last few YouTube videos. Keep in mind that most of these comments were left behind by impressionable zoomers, though it doesn't change the fact that the overall online community's pretty displeased:
TL;DW: Her flight from Texas to Australia got delayed for a day, she got food poisoning prior to the flight, and then kept shitting herself for the next 16 hours while trapped on the plane. More recent comments have stated that she probably deserved it or that her "trauma's" far less severe compared to the abuse she put her ex-bf through.
As of writing this, Hyojin has been silent on all social media accounts and is supposedly putting together a response to these allegations behind the scenes*. Given all of her past controversies, it's rather unlikely that she'll manage to completely salvage her public reputation. And even if she somehow were to miraculously pull that off, it doesn't fix all of the bridges she's burned amongst many of her former friends, associates and fellow creators due to her abhorrent behavior.

Literally a day after writing this up, Hyojin put out a (late) response. Mainly owns up to a lot of a the shit she did, apologizes a bunch, says she's working on improving, and will be taking a long, long break. I doubt there will be any major updates for a while, though at least all of this info's now compiled in a fairly cohesive OP.

One last thing worth mentioning:
There have also been some claims floating around about Hyojin having been involved with Zaptie's (Ed's) cancellation. A bit coincidental that she too happened to be involved in another online scandal alongside ImAllexx (if you need a rundown of that whole debacle, read through Alex's OP). Supposedly she had ties to the girl who tried to catfish Ed, amongst some other suspicious claims made, though I myself haven't seen any concrete proof presented. So who knows if that's actually legitimate or not.
