The tale of poor persecuted Phil running from an army of trolls out to actually directly get him has always been a myth he cultivates for his fans.

I could be getting my lore wrong but i feel like the worst thing they did was dox pandas brothers wedding. But I think that it just made Phil look bad, instead of finding a solution like an adult, he convinced Panda and her family that it was best for her not to go to the event at all.
Phil is only affected by trolls when it's convenient for him.

It's predatory and maybe even abusive the way he combines children's entertainer costumes, literal clown laughs, decorations, games, jokes (ace ventura tier scat), and events (pizza party, uhhh) to lure in children; only to hit them with complex adult issues like financial distress (which are usually lies anyway). Try and imagine 10 year old you stumbling randomly for the first time onto DSP. I mean, it's not OK.

I think I've heard psychologists say parents should not discuss financial problems in front of their children. I'm assuming random weirdos shouldn't be fully displaying their faux financial panic-attack and making up lies about living expenses (while sipping sneaky alcohol drinks). Projecting neurosis onto children is not OK. Let kids be kids.

I do agree with you mostly, save for one issue.

Most of DSP hardcore fans aren't children. They are mentally ill, lonely, and pathetic degenerates who are so slow in the mind that they get caught up in the pignosis and throw money his way. I mean, look at Derich. Given his Twitter follows and his panic during the King of Hate Forums doxing, you can tell he's someone with a ton of snakes in his closet who probably spends all his time working and jerking off to Twitter thots. Dude has fuck all going for him in real life.

Then he somehow catches wind of some 40 year old loser whose just as shit in life as he is playing games and getting "bullied" by the "evil trolls". It's most likely that he joined in just because defending someone like Phil makes him feel like he's a part of something. And DSP tells paypigs like Derich to throw money his way in order to #SaveDuhHouse or #PayMuhBills, I'm sure tiny-minded Derich feels like he's actually helping someone out and not, say, feeding into the habits of an aging 40 year old has-been. And in that way, it might be just as bad and, in minor ways, maybe even worse.

With most little kids, they watch someone like Markiplier scream his way through playthroughs, but they eventually grow out of it and find someone better to follow. With DSP though, he's knowingly taking advantage of the lonely and weak-minded, people similar to him, and using their loneliness to fill his pockets by creating what he views in his warped mind as a "community". Manipulative people do this shit all the time, and DSP's no different.

You're confusing Derich for someone else and the way you're describing Derich doesn't describe him. Derich is NOT a paypig. He doesn't donate to Phil aside from the one time years ago when he took his literal mom's credit card and it got refunded, he has no control of his finances, has never been on the king of hate forums and has very little understanding of anything.

All Derich does is parrot stuff back as he is mentally incapable of anything else, gives shoutouts to whores, wrestlers and e-sports people on Twitter, and generally likes Phil's content. He has no clue what Phil talks about when he begs or when he bitches. Derich is also only 20 but has been watching Phil since he was 14 and not because he's some 40 year old loser like Papavera.

I think it might be dumb luck that his childlike stream presentation with the costumes and shitty games lure his audience. I think he's just a fuckin' manchild stuck in his teens who gets to be the coolest boy in the room.

Engage and talk to him! It's HIS stream. It's HIS birthday WEEK. He's the smartest and coolest boy in the room that he got to watch a BLU-RAY player when he went ona STAYCATION down the road. He does what the cool adults get to do while you spill adult meals on your bed like spaghetti.

If I remember correctly was he was playing co-op with Panda and my theory is he was looking for any excuse to get out of it. It's been awhile but i'm pretty sure he got his character stuck and bitched about having to restart the level. Just never really bought it. Almost want to go back and see the vibe between them before that point because while Panda is seen in a more positive light now god damn could she make a playthrough unwatchable back in the day.

Leanna was a lazy homebody. Watch her old blogs, she'd lay around and weirdly sit in cars endlessly babbling. Hopefully she grew out of that and is experiencing more what she should in her youth, but odds are she's posting how everyone does on social media.
