Okay, this is the best example of self-diagnosed or doctor shopped. I've seen in a while. Rule of thumb, if people plaster it into their bio without further explanation or have a bunch of special snowflake labels, it's usually bullshit.

Autism and ADHD have become an absolute shitshow over the last couple of years thanks to social media (and those #actuallyautistic autism advocates. They are basically behaving like troons with even more retarded screeching). Researching developmental disorders is my job and I also happen to diagnose people (even though I hope I can leave the latter behind soon and just do research, even though that has become a fucking minefield). And the demographic has changed a lot over the past few years. When I started, it was often parents who didn't want to teach little Bratleigh discipline, along with concerned teachers and social workers and a handful of adults who were confronted with it on way or the other.
Now it is way more adults, usually from an upper middle class background (even though we have socialised medicine where I live) and while I have to abide by the standard protocol (several appointments), I usually need thirty minutes max to know if they actually have ASD/ADHD or both and even where they got the idea and the list of symptoms. The smarter patients mix it up a little and pepper it with a bunch of anecdotes, but some just repeat word for word the cool infographic they found on Instagram.

The way people are reacting to me telling them it might be something else has also changed. People used to be way more accepting. And even if they challenged it, it was usually because they were desperate and clinging to something that might give them an answer. I have sympathy for that.
These days, however, some patients all but demand the cool hip autism/ADHD label and they get super angry when they don't get what they want. I know this isn't just Psych/Neuroscience, doctors as a whole are increasingly seen as diagnosis dispensers.

There is also the concept of "neuroqueer"*, the hate child of troons and special snowflakes everywhere. They literally think they can identify as neurodiverse and autistic and that makes them exactly that. The whole online culture about "AuTIsM iSn'T a DisAbILitY, sOcIEty iS JusT eVil!!" and turning the individual shit into a spectrum didn't help.

*When I had someone say this to me with a straight face for the first time, I spent my entire lunch break staring into the middle distance, rethinking my life choices.

I'm not an expert on penises or disorders of sex development, but I have to say that this reeks of bullshit (and possibly fermented period blood) for a lot of reasons.

There are way better measurements available of course and she admits in the video that she didn't think of using them which is dumb and I remember it being a topic a few million pages back.
I just realised: You can somewhat measure arousal with a penis, because that's the whole organ where the blood goes. But the clitoris is mostly internal. So when you measure it like you would a penis, you're just measuring part of it. Even with a roidclit, most of the blood should go to the parts that are in the body.
