Phil, just admit you play WWE Champions and that you use your whale's money on the game. No one really cares that you play a Match 3 game (We'll still make fun of you how you declared bankruptcy because of 6 star Hulk Hogans). Gacha youtubers and streamers hold no shame admitting they use some of their streamer money to pull for jpegs, and I think your dents would probably rather see you play against other people in WWE Champions than shitty retro games or shitty ports/versions of old Capcom fighting games no one cares about anymore. Hell even I would toss the Pigroach ten bucks if he'd play WWE Champs on stream. I'm dying to see what is so exciting about Bejeweled with sweaty man jpegs that is worth throwing away up to and possibly over $100k on. Also it might be interesting to see him play a game he actually likes for a change.

The viewers seriously can't believe him, think it's ultimately just a defense mechanism for his fragile ego. I know, no unique take, but after tonight's Multiversus stream, the talk about lagg etc went to bizarre levels.

I've thought long and hard about Phil's constant whining about netcodes and lagg when playing online. Who is he trying to "fool" with his BS? The viewers seriously can't believe him, think it's ultimately just a defense mechanism for his fragile ego. I know, no unique take, but after tonight's Multiversus stream, the talk about lagg etc starts to reach bizarre levels.

I think he has to do it for his ego, he has played fighting games for so long and is terrible at them. He has played street fighter 2 and street fighter 3 for probably tens of thousands of hours (offline+online), yet he gets bodied as soon as he plays someone competent at the game. He constantly runs away from people in lobbies and declines rematches when he plays good people.
And he has gotten considerably worse at fighting games over time. He literally could not do a dragon punch in street fighter 2. To do a dragon punch, you just press forward, down, down-forward and press a button. DSP couldn't do a dragon punch and claimed that the xbox version of the street fighter collection had a bug that prevented him from doing dragon punches. His ego is so strong he won't even let the thought enter his mind that he is doing the input wrong.

I honestly think that attempting to get on disability is Phil’s plan if and when the streaming life falls through. He’s absolutely not going to get a job. No fucking way. He’s gonna claim that his back “injury” came back big time, or something. That just seems to me like the ultimate Phil move. He wants to be on perpetual vacation at home.

The problem he’s gonna discover is that it’s very difficult to get on full disability. You have to send in all your medical records and you have to show from your doctor/s that you have a real chronic health issue that keeps you from working. Phil never goes to the doctor, as far as we know.

I don't know when you came on the detracting scene but there is this widespread misconception among especially newer folk that the SoK were some sort of menace against phil the likes of which haven't been seen since, hacking into his bank accounts and leaving dead cats at his door but thats really not true at all. Like most they were more chroniclers and commentators. Maybe a bit more obsessive than average turning in 4 hr videos. The most direct thing I can think of off the top of my head that they did 'against him' was build some well in Africa with their name on it.

The SoK acted much more against other detractors gatekeeping and allegedly striking other channels. Then what led to their downfall was all manner of gross stuff coming out about Fred bullying the other SoK members. So nothing really to do with Phil.

Phil from what I can tell has never been really directly bullied all that much (at least compared to plenty of other people) at any point in his khantent creator career and especially now that he has securely locked himself in the goutfort. Its actually kind of surprising how little hate he gets considering all the negative attention he's garnered over the years. You can stub your toe and utter a racial epitaph that goes viral once and get more hate in a week than phil has gotten his entire life.

Its always overwhelmingly been commentary playing back his own voluntarily released videos with the occasional leaked information revealing additional stupidity or sociopathy on his part and a Get a Job sign now and then. Okay you had some copyright strikes which every major creator has to deal with and then the absolute worst thing I can think of was when someone got the police to knock on phil's door which I agree was a over the line but it was an isolated incident roundly condemned by everyone and phil was entirely unbothered until he retconned history and turned it into him almost being killed.

The tale of poor persecuted Phil running from an army of trolls out to actually directly get him has always been a myth he cultivates for his fans. Maybe he even convinced himself of it. But Its part of the pignosis. If he was bullied it was probably far worse in school or during his FGC days.

In truth he dishes it out far more than he takes it and has always surrounded himself with mentally handicapped people he abuses. Forget detractors or even the sok, Phil is the real bully.

The SoK hurt Phil because they embodied his detractor paranoia at the time. They got more views and attention than him while making fun of him. He was very vocal about them, moreso than any other detractor, even the often quoted instance but deflating actual impact of that darn Tevin.

The SoK brought attention to at the tihydp to be viewers and embarrassed Phil with stuff like their charity. In the end it was a bunch of moralfags doing a strange gatekeeping of Phil but it rustled his jimmies in a way we wouldn't see again until the bank leaks and leana the detractor.

Now we just have grifts, lazy grifts. There's a bunch copying An's formula and they all do that annoying thing where it's a four to ten minute video about one static tweet. Dooty had recently been doing clips with commentary more and it's the most autistic shit I've heard outside of the kino casino thread where there's some ppp and Ralph gunt riders bumping heads. He pauses the video often in 5 seconds or less, drives me nuts.

I gotta step away from DSP for a bit. I enjoyed the closet stream and thread but the T and croc tears bit was too much for me. Maybe because I had just watched the 2012 house tour where he had them on the counter and explains it in a minute or so without the dragging it in and sobbing over a dude he barely associated with when he was a teenager.

Yep this caught my attention as well, you know it’s a crock of shit because nobody else uses support as another word for money like Phil. If people said he would get more support streaming other fighting games, they probably meant more people would tune in since it’s not a game almost as old as he is.

And that’s if people were actually saying that to him, which probably isn’t even true. Knowing Phil people were asking him to do something else for the sake of variety and he twisted that into them needing to show “support”

And of course the obvious point that he expected people to stick around and give him money for doing something they asked him to do months to years later, after probably telling them to fuck off because they expressed in chat how boring it is to see him keep playing street fighter 2.

Also, he is a complete failure as a streamer from a business perspective.
What he should've done is

1) Try the game on his main stream.
2) Seeing as he likes it, he should've invested in all the costumes and emotes the game has to offer (aka. he should've spent 60 bucks to unlock character stuff for variety's sake)
3) He should've tried multiple characters and play together with his viewers.

Instead he put it on the late stream, never goes into training mode and bitches that he doesn't know how the game mechanics work.

I think it’s his own inability to stomach modern design. When he passes all the newbies he could stomp, suddenly he complains about tryhards and netcode and auto-combos — Hell, I think he complained about games with long normal combos, saying they’re flashy for audiences but awful competitively. All he wants is a safe space where he can zone out and play his comfort game where he “should” get easy wins and swing his dick around for a few hours.

Things like that, and his overreaction to any setback in a competitive game, help explain why he’d like a game with a 99.3% win rate.

Not niche but certainly not in the same vein as Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, DBFZ, etc. So when in the same nasally voice you use to mock anyone who displeases you you say “oh, not that one”, the correct response is, “Yes. Not these games. Play something else.”

You have three choices, Phil: become better at games thereby improving your content, become more entertaining thereby improving your content, or play games more people like to see. You’re too lazy for Option One. You’re too autistic for Option Two. Option Three is literally your only recourse, and I hate to be the broken record titled “Internet Dumbass Bears Bad News” but you are not the organ grinder here. You’re the monkey, and while no one involved in this metaphorical scenario could be considered mentally sound, it was once again you who put yourself in this position.
