Maybe they only remember her saying she was going to drop out if she didn't get the endorsement, and presume that because she stayed in the race that she did. There are very few cities that are red themselves. I think Omaha might be the only major city that is reliably red.

Knoxville, TN is fairly red as well. Though I guess that is dependent on if you consider it a "major" city.

It doesn't matter if the next administration is Republican if they don't clean the rot out. Bush didn't undo any of Clinton's damage, and Rumsfeld made it worse in many ways. Trump barely had time to do anything, and a hostile Congress all four years that had him under one investigation after another. Cleaning the rot out means conflict, conflict means bad press, and that means conservatives run for the hills.

Conservatives have been excusing their laziness for years by appealing to some magical "inherent conservatism" of the armed forces, as though Communist countries didn't have militaries or something. Thanks to this magical spirit, conservatives don't need to worry about the left turning officer training institutions into ideological filtering mechanisms, or DEI initiatives permeating the institution, or anything else - just sit around and no nothing, and the Laws of the Universe will eventually hand us victory!

If we get four more years of this Admin, you better recalculate your plans on the military coming to help you in a crisis. We have a lot of 8-16 year NCOs that have already decided they aren't finishing out their careers. It hasn't been this bad in living memory. Another re-enlistment cycle that looks like this one, and the Military as a Conservative ideological bulwark, will be pretty well dead.
