Suspending a woke AG is always a good start but I think the key underlining issue is that now everyone is going "WHAT GOVERNOURS CAN DO THAT?!?!?!"

Maybe this is only a FL thing do to their state constitution but imagen if Texas/Virginia/etc start suspending/removing the woke AG in very blue areas. All of a sudden that Soro's money isn't doing too much.

Both of these are way bigger than people realize. Many of the military minded folk have pointed out on here that you never give an order you know will not be followed. As soon as one order is not followed it becomes easier to disregard all future orders. DeSantis officially disobeyed an order. Now it is easier to do so again, and for bigger things. And he is the first -Governor- to, which makes it easier for -all other governors to-.

This is the first and most important of many crucial steps to an actual civil war. The willing disregard of federal mandates by a governor.

And the second bit has just as profound meaning. Stripping the state attorney general of his power would be a massive move as it is an elected position. Right now it is only a suspension, but if an acting governor were to strip the position then it is the second step in the path, the hardening of a governors ideological and personal power.

A convenient cover, but an unnecessary one. Makes it more appealing to the moderates in Florida, but I doubt it is why he actually went after him.

DeSantis is in a purple state. And thus far moderates have enjoyed him putting liberals in check for their overreach. They wont like him nakedly doing moves like this without justification to fuck over the other side.

To be clear, unnecessary in regards to justification. He could have done it without the reason. Why he used it links to what I and you have both said.

To explain, this is very clear evidence that the poll watching is just nuking their ability to do shit. At the same time, even with two years to prepare and presumably all infrastructure they need to do it, the attempt to move some things to Pinal in anticipation of it went disastrously wrong. At least in Arizona, it heavily implies they -can't- shore things up due to lacking as-yet-unknown key components that cannot simply be shifted from one location to another.

Now, unknown does not mean I can't reasonable guess. And I'd say the likely thing is personnel. While the "Mules" can easily be shipped around, the people who actually process the ballots cannot. Those are always local. The issue then would be that while they have plenty of people in areas ideologically aligned, the amount willing to sully their hands or worse who would go screaming about it is limited. Pinal is thus a case where they managed to find some but they are so woefully untrained and inexperienced that as soon as something came up they fucked up.

It is kind of insane and being normalized by a lot of people in the media and politics that having long drawn out elections are good for niggers or something of that sort.
