The Mumei thing is absolutely retarded and it doesn't matter what the reason actually is. That video shouldn't be private. Just because I understand Cover and how they normally operate, doesn't mean that I agree with them. I have no more information than anyone else about their internal reasoning, but here's my rrat regarding their tweet: I don't believe for one singular second that Mumei actively asked to have it privated. There is no reality in which she would look at that video and think it was a problem like they are suggesting. I don't believe that at all. The redditards in that thread are using that line to say "See, why are you mad? Mumei wanted it to be privated," but that's not the Mumei I'm accustomed to. Unless she's misunderstanding the situation herself, that is. Her tweet about 'clarifying things' is hopefully her trying to wrangle up their Japanese autism and disarming them. I base everything I just said on nothing other than my own perception of the girl, but that's just how I feel in these first few thoughts I'm putting towards it.

Yeah, I couldn't remember if it was Jonestown or some other cult that did the koolaid thing and I'm lazy so I just erased "ethanol" and called it a day.
By the way, has anyone said what they think of the song itself? I thought it was ok, if a little short. I still find it strange that HoloEN apparently can't make a song in English while HoloID can.

For my tastes, there's a bit too much processing on her voice, but other than that it's kinda cute and Mumei always has a nice voice that I enjoy getting to listen to. I would've enjoyed more of it regardless of my own biases.

I don’t remember anything super bad in the Dan Dan music video but I do remember thinking at the challenger scene that maybe that’s a little too recent. I remember how sad people where every time the anniversary of that came up. I’m not offended by it or anything but I did think maybe that was too recent but still loved the video

I don't blame Cover honestly, if i ran a corporation i would try to avoid possible nonsense drama as much as possible, specially nowadays when people are so fucking blood hungry online. "Making light of tragedies" isn't a good thing to have laid at your feet, and they probably are even stricter after their biggest shitshow was caused by a talent saying a single fucking word that was related to world events.

Yeah, people may call it cowardly but honestly this is the kind of "avoiding drama" shit that people praise corpo vtubers for. If this is the reason why the video was privated, of course.

I don't have any issue with Cover wanting to avoid drama, I just think that by addressing it as they did, they ruffled way more feathers than if they had just ignored it.
They could have just spoken with Kanauru and Mumei and said they need to schedule better next time and make sure to get the video screened in a timely manner or risk delays.
