I think he was taught to never give up and this is just an example of that. Or he is just monumentally stupid that he can't see he's fighting a losing battle.

I'm always reminded of what my sensei always said about street fights. "Walk away. Run if you have to. Fight only as a last resort". This guy was a tough as nails former Marine who had seen combat and had killed in the line of duty.

Besides he probably always thinks that this time it will succeed and all those times before it was just practice to finally get it right.

He got one from Ariana's people supposedly because he was going to talk about her in his book.

I have no doubt he spammed all her contacts with tons of smug emails bragging about how he was going to destroy her in his new bestseller, so they just had the legal team send him a C&D to shut him up. They would have never known about it otherwise.

The end result was Russ declaring victory by simply changing Ariana's name to Anna in the book, then posting on Facebook that it was totally still Ariana. And showing off the C&D to "prove" Ariana's people are afraid of him and his bombshell book.

Nothing else happened, because he had stopped pestering them, and his book had absolutely zero effect on Ariana. Nobody cared. By this point her team had forgotten all about Russ I'm sure.

And he thinks the only reason it wasn't a NYT best seller is because we stole it. He set the free preview to the whole book and someone got it off Amazon and uploaded it to Google Drive.
