I'm in the same boat as you so I have no clear answer on the pension stuff. I tried out family law during articles at a full service firm and after I watched a skinny, posh blonde lady kick in a senior lawyer's office door after fucking shit up at the front desk because she would be seen NOW by her lawyer I was like nope...clients facing divorce or jail are a no for me dawg.

I figure generally in the absence of legislation when the rules are based on Judge made law we can expect a spectrum right? So, in some cases probably some common law spouses have been entitled to pension benefits...but I would wonder if it is because there were children involved or the person could prove the other spouse had the ability to earn the pension because of some sacrifice on the claiming spouse's part.

And I highly doubt any judge would look at Nader and go yeah, this man sacrifices for his woman. We know how he reacts when you don't buy him his octopus dinner.

But again, without hitting up the WestLaw I am as certain about the pension stuff in common law situation type deals as Nader is about anything to do with his own criminal case...very little.

Gary is live and his background is DD's kitchen. He (Gary) reached behind him and "grabbed" the stove knobs and said "I'm just going to turn this down a bit" and I laughed. Someone on Reddit suggested Nader thinks the stove has two settings, On and Off. I think they're right.
