That entire stream was the opposite of chill with Phil periodically bitching about RTU and looking for matches in a Dead on Arrival collection to curbstomp shitty players. He tries to use Evo as an excuse, but Evo has become a joke since 2020. That said, I think Rich is a bigger faggot than Phil knowing Rich is a two-faced failure at life (trying to be anti-woke, yet virtue signals his support for BLM before trying to cancel a Black guy for disliking Elden Ring).

No one is going to pay $20-40 for shitty, poorly-done collection even for one shitty game that's not even meant to be a vs. fighter (Red Earth). It doesn't even have Crossplay, and even if it did these ports suck. It was a rush job Capcom only made to milk people and the cucked fgc with nostalgia and memberberries. Nobody cares about 20 year-old fighters anymore out of hardcore fans, and Hyper Fighting isn't even fun to play (it's the Neo Geo SSF2T for a reason). Honestly Vampire Hunter 2 did not age well at all because man the music does not fit any of the VS stages, and when you take off the rose-tinted glasses, Darkstalkers was actually one of Capcom's laziest series after the first game.

That's adorable, Phil... but here is the reality.

This is a list of all players who won respective games games in EVO 2005. Among the US players are Crow, Ducvader, Justin Wong, Ryan Hart, and Yipes. No sign of DarksydePhil anywhere. I wonder why? (Also, don't mind the $0.00. This came from a website that records money earned for matches, and the site doesn't have data for 2005)

I know DSP tends to wave this fucking title around to make himself feel like less of a loser, hype himself up for EVO, or to #OwnTheMemes and #OwnTheTrolls, but this to me is like FGC stolen valor. He probably did this to be controversial, since this was done right when EVO's going on, but that doesn't make it any less retarded.

Phil, Top 3 matters, and everything else is nothing. It was, but not only does the tournament go too far back to even mention it, the community sees it as something of a shady moment, since every player who joined that tournament was pretty much unprepared for the changes between the ST ports. It's the main reason why so many US pros dropped out of that tournament.

And of course Phil cares. This is his Al Bundy moment. He may be living off the backs of others, married to a bloated wife, owns a cat that sees him as a threat, and has become an international laughing stock within the gaming community, but none of that matters because he got fourth in a tournament that barely any top US pros entered and he didn't even win. Wow, dood!

What's more funny: DSP himself, told yesterday a story about how Tokido beat him in the Vega mirror because Tokido knew how the broken PS1 port worked and Phil didn't have Vega matchup experience.
He said that this is the only reason why he got 4th place and claimed he would have gotten to the Grand Finals otherwise.
Basically admitting that the port was so broken that people who placed in that tournament wouldn't have placed so high otherwise (like a certain mobile addict from Renton for example).

The best estimates of owed federal taxes (and state-level B&O tax, for that matter) have always come out to Phil basically filing with standard deduction or something very close to it. He's basically paying hundreds of dollars for the accountant to tally up his income, choose standard deduction, and send it in.

So I have delved into DSP tax land as a little personal boredom project to determine if Phil is claiming WWEC on taxes. From what I can tell it is almost certainly true. I think the bank leaks revealed a lot of useful info that people didn't have before when trying to figure his tax situation out.

Phil does not itemize his personal expenses and takes the standard deduction. There is zero benefit for him to itemize personal deductions because he hardly has anything to deduct. Business expenses for a sole proprietorship is separate from schedule A deductions. He gets to have both. In fact the business expenses reduces his AGI while deductions (either itemized or standard) do not.

We know he also files his taxes separately. Both because he has stated so and because the bank leaks show the $1200 stimulus check; the amount for a single filer. In order for him to gross as much as he did and still get that payout @ 100% he needed something like a minimum of 30k in expenses to bring his AGI low enough to qualify. There is no way he gets even close to that amount without including mobile games as a ordinary and necessary business expense.

His tax guy does do more for Phil than the simple tax return he does for Kat, self employment returns require like 8 different forms that are convoluted mess to fill manually. But his self employment situation is simple compared to most self employed people. He doesn't sell things or have inventory so that's a huge section that gets skipped right over. The tax guy doesn't do anything that inexpensive software can't do. Phil is just too incompetent to tally his income and expenses himself. The tax software requires you to at least do that minimum amount of work, so it's out of the question for him. He really pays his tax guy just to go through thousands of personal and business co-mingled transactions to tally them up and plug them into the same software Phil could buy for <$100.

Phil, it isn't that they don't trust PayPal, it's that they don't trust YOU with that information. You have been caught lying repeatedly about what info PayPal gives you, especially with the demand that everyone tip with verified accounts. Plus you love to use having people's personal information as a way to threaten them. No one has a reason to ever trust you with it.
