The death of ytmnd is when the internet stopped being fun for me.

Truly YTMND was the internet's peak, I'm completely serious, I genuinely never saw more creativity from people online than on that site.

But it was already starting to run out of gas as far back as 2009, I did some research once and discovered most of the really big name users vanished after 2010, which says it all.

It's no surprise it didn't last as the effort it took to make something actually good was a lot more than just slapping text on an image macro or whatever, but man, what an amazing thing while it lasted.

Today it feels like the internet's best kept secret, it's truly a shame how not very well remembered it is.

Ah, yes, Poseidon's Kiss. I genuinely found the rage comics enjoyable from that era. My favourite one was someone turning on the tap too much to wash a spoon and it splashed everywhere. Simple, relatable annoyances communicated in a visually hilarious way.
