I missed that one. But even with her paying mortgage, borrowing 10k for legal fees is a lot different than not having $500 for food. A lot of people would have to borrow that much. I'm surprised she doesn't have a 401k, unless her employer has a fully funded pension...or she doesn't want to borrow against her retirement for some reason.
