Was it Wings who did a donation run for disabled kids for gaming early on before he hit lolcow status? I can't find any sources for it but I remember it being on ED (was a disabled girl iirc).

It was Wings, yeah. Trolls will insist he never followed through but I've been following the same 'scene' Wings came from since I was a kid myself and I remember him uploading a video with the girl and her mother that he helped. It's the one thing I can give him credit for doing.

He followed through, but he reportedly took a substantial "fee" for organizing it and claimed he deserved it because it took time away from his other "work".

I don't have any way to independently verify that, but I also wouldn't put it past him.

As some have said, apparently Wings took a substantial part of the money raised as his "fee" for organizing it, though I haven't found any proof on that other than hearsay. If anyone has it, it would be much appreciated because this seems one of the few (if not the only instance) of him actually helping someone, but at the same time it wouldn't surprise me if he took most of the money for himself.

The only way to verify that is to track down the person who took the donation, but if Wings wrote that and posted it openly while he did this I have no problem with that, as a matter of fact I hate the Red Cross types that don't list how much admin costs are.

It will be very interesting to see what will be the end result of the lawsuit and the strikes. At the end of the day this is all on Richard.
He chose to not take advantage of the surgery and never even tried going to the gym once while he had the post surgery weight loss.
He chose not to take advantage of the money he had left over and get an associates degree or some training or certificate.
He chooses to not spend time with his wife putting strain on the marriage and to not try and lose weight will Kelly.
He chooses to continue streaming as if he entitled to be a streamer for a career when it is clear that he needs to get a real job.
He chooses to own 3 cars including 2 that he bought new and to not live within his means.
If he is banned from Twitch and Youtube he can move on or choose to let his marriage fall apart and end up on disability.
