Really makes you wonder why he can't save a few hundred a month and buy it himself, you'd think doing something like that would make you proud of actually owning it now, you know, since he's a 'business owner'

Even still, why can't he just get his fat wife to buy one on credit and pay it off within a year or so? why must shit be so complicated?

Phil's never going to save up for anything. He's had years to save up for lawyers to sue those dirty detractors and yet he never did. But really, that's what addictions do to you when you've had years of just feeding it whenever it bugged him and when you combine it with getting every new thing (or at least the money to get the new thing) when he's begged for it, he's developed the habit of not saving up (he doesn't even have money saved as a "rainy day fund"). Not to mention he's prone to putting all his eggs in one basket, so the offer of having it all paid for by one whale word be his one shot.

This is ridiculous, one answer is a deflection and the other mentions not wanting to see anyone upset, I guess he hasn't thought of the feelings of the scammed people.

What's up with that, he has some unusual tolerance for admitted scumminess in DSP, it's impressive in some way. I guess it applies to people in other fandoms as well, but Gothy seems to be near the bottom of the barrel.

He may have 14 years on paper but Phil has realistically less than 2 years of picking up skills for his "job".

It took him years to convert to direct capture due to laziness

It took him years to change his video uploading format

It took him years to add anything (even as autistic as dressing up) new to his streams

The only thing you see a consistent progression is his begging. Begs on Youtube, Twitch, Patron, on stream, off stream, tweets.
He thinks he could get a job in the tech industry due to his years of "experience" but in reality he can't. Even if the employer looked past his shit reputation, he has zero skills to keep up with anyone. Even his whale wife looks a more able candidate for a tech job compared to Mr 14 Year Beggar.

Phil subscribes to the theory of being so lazy that you become efficient. It's easy for him to beg (since Gothy proves that dentheads are willing to part with their monies, regardless of how stupid it is), and he's fine-tuned it to the point that he's got the usual whales throwing money into the black hole, so why would he try anything else?

Also, it took him years to ditch the couch. I want to believe in a few years he will ditch the television and just KVM a computer monitor for his consoles, but that's probably too much optimism.

Anyway, Max Dood is married with a daughter in a house he owns, Justin Wong is married with a daughter in a house he owns, Fuudo is married to a model. Tokido, the guy you love to bring up, went to a prestigious prep-school for high-school, he holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Tokyo University, one of the best schools in Japan. Don't fucking think for a second any of these guys are just doing FGC/Street Fighter shit and that's all they do. They stayed on top of the game while having a life and succeeding.

After all if you're buying a computer to donare to another grown ass man, it should come from an expandable money that's on the side.
