Looks like Manchin stepped on some toes pretty hard by supporting this nonsense, hopefully this comes back to bite him at home.

I don’t see what’s wrong with coal when it comes to the environment. Burning it for energy is literally like a micro volcanic vent spewing shit up.

Yes I know the mining for it is hazardous to health and so are the fumes but animals know when the air ain’t right though the argument should be the oversaturation of the shit the plants crave once the shit settles will suffocate ze green instead of just REEEEEEEEE CARBON BAD, NITROGEN BAD, SULPHUR BAD, REEEEEEE, BUG EATING GOOOOOD, NOOO WE ARENT LIZARD PEOPLE YOU SCHIZO CONSPIRACY THEORIST though wind patterns are fluid and coal should be a one time thing done throughout the year to supplement energy production during peak summer and peak winter, can also supplement the soil to give what the plants crave when used sparingly, and the main focus should be a long term and slow transition to more efficient and cleaner methods like propane and propane accessory burning and nuclear instead of of gutting everything right this instant hoping the solar panels and wind turbines can be produced before we lose the means to produce them and we become Brazil. Also if we do build more plants we’re definitely going to build them on fault lines and below sea level.

The U.S. can also get into major geothermal if they want since the mainland was blessed with a super volcano that needs some venting before going nuclear. Lots of energy potential right there but hippies and tribal injuns are still a thing.

I don’t see where he says caves are earthquake proof.

Natural caves generally do not exist in places with lots of seismic activity because they inevitably collapse. Artificial caves will suffer the same fate. This is why very few houses in California have basements.
He says it at the 4:00 mark (the timestamp linked might be wrong mb). He mentioned how a smooth domelike structure would be safer to be in while inside an earthquake than outside and, I assume that's how an underground city would be built, where I'm coming from is that I guess a dome like structure would be safer from earthquakes than the surface according to this guy. It's fun facts.

You're not taking into account psychology (People go insane without natural lighting), geology (different rock layers and movement, hydrology (aquifers and water recharge).
Maybe for california when they finally draw out all the aquifer water.

Burning coal itself is only a fraction of the problem when it comes to it's pollution impact. Strip mining and the slag runoff and chemical dumps the coal companies used to max profits for minimal investment are probably more damaging than burning it tbh. Which is why for a while there was a push for more "clean coal" which involved doing a better job of cleaning that shit up, making sure there weren't giant chemical sludge ponds left behind when a mine closed, forcing mines to replant trees on stripped tops etc.

Naturally it all got fumbled and to this day I could take you up to WV and show you no fewer than 4 giant chemical and slag infused sludge ponds (which probably make body disposal a breeze), several spots where mines just up and said fuck it and left machinery and metal scrap and chemicals and shit, and more than a fair share of mountaintops which have been so thoroughly stripped and so shoddily replanted that it might be another few hundred years before it even remotely resembles what it did before the strip jobs.

We do need to do something about the impact of coal mining on the environment but the left wants to go about it by simply making it unaffordable to even mine and consume which for obvious reasons is unsustainable for us, they're not interested in just reducing the larger and more immediate impact it has via chemical slag or waste, they're retardedly screeching about the wrong pollution.

You realize its still the same military that thought they could turn literal retards into useful people by showing them VHS tapes right? Good god Johnny, you were a bright eyed optimist once weren't you?

The “Don’t panic when you see a fucking tank.” tape was instrumental thank you very much. The point of the tapes was to put a face and voice to the manuals and show along with telling. A charismatic face man telling you how to not die helps as a reinforcement tool. Going tapes only, however… should hopefully never have happened and is a sign that someone needs to be expelled from the force, with force.

By all means, bring weapons, not for something that will help society like universal healthcare or putting an end to corporate lobbying, but so some old obese billionaire from New york can become president. Its not like, it will just make you lose the cultural war sooner and accelerate degeneracy, its not like they already have excecuted plans for an escape and have likely improved upon this plan, it will work this time because weapons.
You know people talk about universal healthcare but does anyone honestly believe its going to be all that "universal"? The way things currently are going do you think people who think the wrong think and say the wrong things are going to get any of that healthcare pie? If the IRS declares you owe money would you stop getting universal healthcare? What about say felons, the homeless, people that have no income or crazy fucks that live in compounds in the middle of the woods/desert? It feels like one of those things where technically everyone is deserving but some are more deserving then others.

Not to mention the government has proved it can't run a bake sale let alone the fucking healthcare industry. It seems like fighting for it is fighting to give more power to a beast that not only is hungerly gobbling up what power it can, but has no qualms about abusing the fuck out of it (probably against you).

"Universal health care" just means I, personally, don't have to pay for whatever it is I get.

You're not taking into account psychology (People go insane without natural lighting),
the cult-like insistence on natural light is originally a 50s tuberculosis prevention policy as airy and sunlight-saturated buildings were perceived as hygienic

It’s also a super convenient NIMBY excuse to block anything bigger than a shed so it lives on

That's not an actor, that's Brandon Straka, a conservative activist and J6 defendant. The author is just too retarded to bother looking things up.

He's the one behind the Walk Away campaign that endlessly trolled the Democrats a few years ago
I think that Brandon is/was an actor, by profession.

Its the same reason waves form on the top of the ocean, so you're better off underwater if there's a tsunami.

Lookin' Good Joe!

President Joe Biden walks to board Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on his way to his Rehoboth Beach, Del., home, Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022. source
Face looks lost and confused, body pose with thumbs-up looks like Trump walking onto stage at a rally

Maybe I'm misreading it because autism, but the body language is jarringly different from the face expression, especially after you zoom in on the face and see the details. I can't unsee it, its strange.

I guess they mean to build these cities away from fault lines and near places where the earth gives off heat.

Thanks assholes.

Sorry to tag you @Gehenna, but how much of that pork will be used to refill the DNC's coffers for "election fortification"?
That's the fun part. Almost none. Oh, a handful of small items are in there but the majority is either paying off debts, the climate stuff primarily is getting laundered here, or being used as the usual inside trading deal to make personal wealth.

I'd estimate that the amount being laundered equates to approximately 10% of their debts. Which is nothing to sneer at but even including the small amounts they have managed to sneak in, they haven't even broken 20% nor the required 40% to show ability to return investment.

How are you able to ballpark what the debts are? going off the build back better bill?

It might be because of the giant helicopter just outside of the frame. Marine one is big, loud, windy bird.

It spreads nuclear radiation through the air, ironically unlike with a nuclear power plant.
Good the Adults in the Room™ had passed the Adults in the Room™ bill that only Adults in the Room™ will understand.

I really can't even perceive what will happen between now and 2024.
The Build Back Better bill didn't actually pass, did it?

I dont see the problem with hiring more IRS agents. While the idea of more tax agents is an inherently repulsive one, the IRS has just been using outsourcing in order to collect taxes and they get less tax money that way. IIRC there were estimates that 3-5 dollars out of every 10 dollars collected by these agencies were kept by the IRS. If that's the case and I'm still getting charged 10 dollars either way, I would rather the IRS get it than some scummy fucks who practice private tax collection.
