There's nothing wrong with it if you can provide for yourself regardless, but Polissa doesn't. Polissa has no routine and no life outside of grifting, eating frozen breakfast bowls, and making shitty crafts.

Polissa's orbiters seem so much nastier than anything I have ever seen here on the farms. I cannot imagine throwing someone's addiction in their face when all they did was offer good advice. Particularly when they obviously overcame their issues and now are doing the best they can to move forward. It's not like she wasted that inheritance in hookers and blow. She literally just overcame poverty and fosters cats with what seems like a lot of success.

These people are either okay with Polissa's hoard of suffering pets or dislike hearing that there are ways out of poverty that require working harder than posting on twitter all day, asking for handouts from complete strangers.

I will admittedly 'sperg a little bit, especially since I know Polissa is reading here. EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN STORES. The only caveat being if pets are allowed. Emotional support animals are not service animals. Service animals are allowed in stores because they are TRAINED to perform a task to help their disabled handlers. Being present as emotional support is not a trained task. For somebody who harps on being disabled I would think you would know the ADA front and back. Nobody wants your dirty cat pee covered dog in a shopping cart they put their food. Emotional support animals only get protections when it comes to housing and no, you can't claim you require your entire hoard of animals as a necessity for your emotional support. And don't come running to the internet claiming you paid to have Dobby certified because there is no official national registration for service animals. All those are scam sites meant to make money and to help other people scam their ill trained dogs into places they shouldn't be.

I love dogs but I cannot stand people who cry "muh emotional support dog!!!" just so they can bring them everywhere with them.

When I think of emotional support animals I think of dogs trained to help people who suffer things like sudden and severe panic attacks. But that probably falls under the service category if the attacks or whatever are technically a chronic condition. I might be wrong of course.

Polissa has filled the Kyttie sized hole in my heart, and although she doesn’t have a vulnerable child she’s forcing to shit in buckets or diapers the animal hoarding is *almost* as heinous.

Nothin’ gets me MATI like grifters who lean on their learned helplessness when all it would take is a little bit of effort to make a relatively large impact. Small steps like grocery money management (which has been brought up here at length) and using community resources for pet food or employment services could drastically improve her quality of life. But she just won’t do it.

I refuse to believe there isn’t some Dollar General or small time gas station near her that would hire her part time if she could just stay moderately hygienic and show up.

there are many genuinely disabled people here who, at 60+ years of age still hold down a job. Local businesses are ususally willing to make reasonable accommodations if you prove you’re not totally useless. Our precious and frail Polissa is not one of them though, methinks.
"...You put me in this situation now get me the fuck out of it! I worked! I did everything right! I still got sick and disabled! You give me crumbs now!"

Nowhere is it promised that because you "did everything right," you're not going to be struck down by disaster. That's not a US-specific thing; that's life, and life is not fair. Most emotionally-mature adults know this; it's why we have things like insurance.

I can understand her anger at the "crumbs" that is disability. I know people on SSDI, formerly working adults who used to have decently-paying jobs who now legitimately cannot work to support themselves, and it's appalling how little they get. Granted, they're also hooked into programs like SNAP, Medicaid, and Section 8 housing, but still, it's a pittance.

But Polissa lives in a relatively cheap part of the country. She should be able to get by on the benefits she gets. That she doesn't is largely due to the absolutely terrible decisions she makes—including far more pets than even a lot of well-off people could afford to properly care for, and her abysmal food habits that only make her poorer and sicker.

So she's angry about her circumstances, and blaming the government for not giving her more, and bitter that other private citizens won't subsidize her, but at the end of the day, she's the creator of most of her own hardships. She's her own worst enemy.

God, she reminds me so much of a personal lolcow of mine. Both of them describe shitty childhoods with abusive trash parents. And, like my pet cow, I suspect Polissa has transferred her unfulfilled childhood desires to be reliably cared for and indulged by her parents onto her Uncle Sam, and strangers on social media. There's a child who didn't get what she wanted, and might not have got a lot of what she needed, living in that 39-year-old body, and she's still furious that other kids get nice things, and she doesn't.

I forget, and am too lazy to look: is she T2 diabetic, yet? She's got to be well on her way to it, if she's not. That's a risk factor for yeast infections. If she's not she's still subsisting largely on sugarwater, which would keep her BG levels elevated most of the time. Between that and the permanent unaired swampcrotch all fatties have, yeah, it's no fucking wonder she's got chronic yeast infections.

She doesn't need to throw out all of her underpants and clothes to get rid of the yeast infection; she needs to change her underwear at least once a day, and wash it in boiling water. Some women swear by a soak in hot baking soda solution, followed by a vinegar rinse. Others iron their underwear so the heat kills the yeast. Whoever told her she needs to throw out all her clothes and get new ones has probably decided she's just too stupid and too much of a nasty slattern to wash anything properly. Of course, that's assuming somebody else told her that, rather than a fabrication or exaggeration or lie of omission on Polissa's part.

Most of her followers appear to be other e-beggars trying to "crowdfund" their shitty existences through "mutual aid." They aren't calling Polissa out on her fucked-up shit because then somebody might call them out for their own fucked-up shit. Some of them might even be degenerate enough to see nothing wrong with Polissa's living conditions or how she treats her animals.

There's another woman from Alabama who replies to her occasionally, who seems relatively normal, but she never questions anything Polissa claims or does. I don't know what's up with that.
A lot of people on SSI have side hustles like house cleaning, delivering pizza or babysitting/pet sitting gigs.
I can't see either of them having the ambition to make some fastcash by earning it.

Emotional support animals are categorized as just being present to provide comfort to their owners. A dog can be trained to detect the onset of a panic attack and guide their owners away from other people, as an example of the type of task. Of course each person is different and may require something else to do be done for something like panic attacks. Some people will lay down and the dog is trained to lay on top of their handlers as a sort of weighted blanket. Service dogs go through rigorous training to do their job properly and to also focus and behave when in public. This is the reason why service dogs are allowed everywhere. Emotional support animals do not require any training.

I think she's trollshielding so I'm less amused by it

Even if she is, Jenn still puts more effort into caring for her animals than Polissa does. That's at least respectable. I will give her the benefit of the doubt at the moment, given that the timeline of events regarding her past is still muddy.

Multiple people dropped bombs about animal abandonment without saying when they happened - of course, it's not right. My perspective is that of an outsider. But if Jenn is really trying to improve herself and be a better person, who am I to try and shit on her for that?

Plus, none of the people bringing this up bother doing the research on Polissa themselves and dig up her own history of animal neglect. Hell, some of these people could easily have animal-shaped skeletons in their closets themselves. Who knows? In a situation like that, it's the matter of picking the lesser of two evils.

Service dog sperg
My pup is in service dog training. Service dogs CANNOT be in shopping carts. It's unsanitary af. It cannot perform a task in a shopping cart. Now there are tiny dogs that are service dogs. Their tasks detect spiked BP, sugar, and neuro issues. These dogs are held though. Tbh most of us no longer need esa once we get the service animal. They tend to care for all the needs since we are tied to them 24/7 like an arm or a leg.

I have epilepsy and some fucking shit called conversion disorder that comes and goes (built up job stress over the years) from always being a polite southern lady.
I get auras and am mostly able to sit down even at 9 months with her training she doesnt know to cover me up so i dont hurt myself but she does just circle around me and cover me with kisses and it keeps me present as long as possible. I haven't fainted once since ive had her. She naturally herds me to a chair by circling around me before it happens and deals with the emotional state afterwards but like a doofus 9month old puppy (just 65lb worth)
Getting an already trained service dog costs 10s of thousands of dollars and might not work out after months to years long waiting list for your "perfect dog"
Getting a 6month to 1yo dog from the pound is actually ideal. Rescuing a doggo. Get your CGC from fucking Petsmart will get you public access and work with another trainer. Disability groups have groups of folks with service animals that have trainers available to help based on income. Not everyone is ssdi. Some people still live normal lives.

Idgaf tmi me give me top hats but if you see this shit in the grocery store report it as a fake service dog to management of the establishment. Real service animals are discriminated against enough.

I thought she took a photo in the soda aisle before i zoomed in but nope... she has five six-packs of soda on her cart. Christ, she would probably be healthier if she drank as much beer as she does soda.

Dont you know she has to feed her yeast infection? Duuuuuhhhhh

God damm that's some animal hoarding. I want to see more of the floors, hoard home floors can be... insightful.

Amazing how they're roasting Jenn (who is probably, at least, lurking here) to completely ignore Polissa's wrongs. Someone can be shit, or have been shit or do shit, and still give good solid advice. Alas, the only way to Polissa's soul is cash and weed. Good effort though.
The pictures that I and @formerfatcow posted are, quite literally, some of the handful we have of her house. Most of what is known Polissa has mentioned in an offhand comment, or posted years ago.
