What have you recently eaten?

Chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes that were a masterpiece of the form, and green beans.

I had some leftover pork loin. I like buying half loins because I can always get at least three meals out of them and their dead cheap. I made a basic Thai red curry. You may not think that loin is suitable for that as it's relatively lean, but it comes out lovely and tender every time. It's impossible to find fresh kaffir lime leaves around here so when I do find them I buy a bunch and freeze them. They freeze very nicely. Same goes for lemongrass and ginger. If you don't have a proper mortar and pestle to grind the curry paste then you are denying yourself a treat.

I had Wing Stop yesterday and I swapped out one of my usual flavors (lemon pepper) for their new hot honey rub. The sweetness of the honey was there but it wasn’t overpowering while the heat level is around the same as their Louisiana Rub flavor.

I now have new favorite flavor and it’s another limited edition one too. Goddammit.

That said it sounds easier to than their Brazilian Citrus Pepper flavor, a flavor that continues to elude me in terms of recreating it. The Hot Honey Rub feels like it just uses honey powder, cayenne pepper, and ancho chili.

My breakfast was those toaster waffles (3) and mozzarella cheese. I had tea, almond milk and water (which I'm pacing how much I consume)

A handful of pistachios and an entire lemon (chopped into segments). Like sour candy but fruit.

I fear no man. But that
an entire lemon (chopped into segments). Like sour candy but fruit.
That, is truly frightening

Oats, apples, broccolis, corn on the cob, mushrooms, sweet peppers, sweet potato, succotash
today has been a good food day

Talked shit about instant noodles/ramen the other day because I hate them, then saw that they were back in stock, so I bought a pack. Wtf now?

So I half-froze a slice of meat so I could cut it into really thin strips. Cooked some rice, cooked some broth, cut vegetables, put a bit of rice aside in a bowl to cool down, started frying (mostly frozen) vegs, cooked the noodles in the broth, drained some of it into a bowl, used the hot broth to cook the meat for a second, put it all in a bowl and poured the a bit of broth with the added space pack over the veg-rice-noodle-meat mix. It was alright. Using whatever spices I already owned that made sense of course.

I had an oyster sauce based dish at a thai spot near me. It was solid. Sometimes even for someone that likes that flavor profile the oyster sauce is too much -- but this one was quite mild without being overbearingly pungent.
