Ok, that is one solitary example and I'm pretty sure Josh owned up to that one. Point is, MATI streams have always been a one man show, outside of weird call ins or interviews with cows themselves. Having a bunch of retards on stream yearning for their 15 minutes of KF fame is only going to suck major donkey balls and ruin it.

There were call-ins on the older MATI streams, back when the discord still existed. It was awkward and stilted, like call-ins typically are.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I watch MATI for Null’s particular take/humour, not some rando who might be awkward as fuck on stream and make me click away.

The most important criteria for a person stream is "would it be funny?"

There were a few times where it worked out, like with Kenny.

My all time favorite call-in was during the Couch Cuck stream where a guy called The Ghost of William Atchison came on. He was in character as @FuckYou's ghost and basically called in just to offer some corrections to mistakes that Null had made during the stream.

Call-ins suck 99% of the time. They are self-indulgent and lead to retards trying to become part of the story instead of just pointing and laughing, issues aside with the reality that the vast majority of people that call in are awkward, stuttering autists with little ability to carry an interesting conversation.

For me, the best caller was the one who stumbled over his words for maybe half a minute and then said something along the lines of "Nevermind, I'll try another time" before hanging up, which made Null laugh hard. Wish I could remember which stream it was from.

Worst caller was the weird limbic drones guy.

The call-ins in the first couple streams make them borderline unwatchable, particularly in like the Blockland episode where Josh continued to give important and interesting information after taking a calls unlike other where you can just end the episode as soon as he brings them in.

On the other hand though, I also think the episodes where Josh has been with other people are some of my personal favorite episodes. I think Josh's personality bounces great off others and leads to some amazing moments. Ems in the girlcow streams, the Lowtax girlfriend episode, "the four horsemen" in the Corn Harvest, the tommy tooter and Pamela Swain calls, and every single time EZ joined in the Midnight Mad episodes. I've been relistening to them recently and its refreshing how witty and clever Josh can be when he has other people to work with.

There is no reason to do call ins. If Null can't get enough info on a funny lolcow, he can set up a specific way to chat with the people in the thread who actually know shit. The Cobra stream was a good learning point and I think Null is taking that forward with the Lowtax stream

The last song of his that I listened to was actually Rules of Nature, and before that it was In the Zone which was 8 fucking years ago. He somehow has managed to make songs inspired by anime and hentai featuring his little panda girl OC for over a decade without trooning out. I will always look back fondly on his music, and that one time he announced for the 4chan cup.
