I got a chuckle out of the thingamajig line and that was about it. Always a nasty red flag when their best foot forward seems to be stuffing a scene full of old references to when the show was great and 4th wall breaking. Even then though this feels like it's missing the point. Aqua Teen was always just a low budget stoner comedy shitpost, that's part of what made it "work". Even when made into a theatrical film it was only slightly higher quality animation wise. This feels unnecessary as fuck, at best, and at worst a sign that they've missed the point entirely.

Guess we'll see, hope it's good like the beavis and butthead movie, but this just wasn't a good sign.

Another post about this film, but goddamn it is funny seeing this movie start getting a cult following:

Seriously though, please support the film if you have any interest in DC. DC is going through hell currently with the merger happening and many projects getting canceled. I hope this film does well enough to keep animated theatrical films on the table as the creators of this and LEGO Batman have so much love for this universe that it’d be a shame for them to never develop another film.

My timeline is freaking out because the showrunner for the Tangled animated show, Chris Sonnenburg, has joined The Daily Wire. The line is that he was fired from Disney for a toxic work environment, but none of the people spreading this can post a scintilla of evidence of that. When directly asked, storyboard artists (amber), just innuendo their way out of it.

I never actually watched this show, but it looked like a million bucks. It was also big in social justice adult crowds because of the lesbianism.

too lazy to look, but Primal is pretty good. It's got a decent plot, great interaction between characters that never talk, and Genndy Tartakovsky gets to live out his fantasy of making a proper homage to Conan the Barbarian.

I also recommend Allegro non Troppo. It's a satirical Italian take on Fantasia, and while the animation isnt vreat and it's pretty much what you'd expect thematically from 70s Italian cinema, several of the segments are pretty good.

Primal indeed rocks. One of the few shows I'd call flawless.

Damn Chris Sonnenburg went to Daily Wire. Good on him. I really did enjoy Tangled the animated series so yeah the Daily Wire got a good talent there now.
Like I'm actually surprise. I knew the Daily Wire was going to do animated series. But I did not expect that they actually got the showrunner for one of Disney's most popular recent cartoons to join.

Tangled the series did not have lesbianism in it. It's just a bunch of horny alphabet people who don't understand women can be friends with out wanting to fuck each other. so they wanting Rapunzel and Cassandra to be lesbians but they were not despite what those weirdos want to tell you.

Nickelodeon’s Content Accelerator Program joins an industry-wide trend towards leveling the playing field for underrepresented and marginalized early-career content creators. Open for pitch submissions until September 30, 2022, the online initiative is an opportunity for selected BIPOC, LGBTQIA2+, and disabled pitchers 21 years-old and up to share their voices directly with Nickelodeon development executives.
Program details:
  • From August 8 to September 30, pitches are accepted under three categories: “Live Action,” aimed at audiences 6-11 years-old; “Big Kids Animation,” which is open to any genre or style for audiences 6-11 years-old; and “Preschool/Upper Preschool,” also open to any genre for audiences two to five years old (preschool) or four to seven years old (upper preschool). Pitches should be between two and seven pages long.
  • Selected pitches will be invited to participate in a final Pitch Day (date TBD), with the top pitch in each category moving on to a preliminary phase of development and mentorship at Nickelodeon. Studio-specific information such as “essential pillars” each show should meet and a 17-page PDF guide to pitching is available on the program’s webpage.
  • Partnering with Rise Up Animation and the Ghetto Film School, Nickelodeon will tap into communication channels and talent pools at well-established creator development and support organizations to help solicit pitches for the program. Rise Up is a group of animation industry professionals which provides advice and feedback to members of the BIPOC community looking to work at a studio in a variety of roles. Ghetto provides access to knowledge and equipment on the live-action side, taking down barriers to production and development experience in New York, LA, and London.

Oh, so brainwashing children into an agenda is suddenly an issue now? Where was this outcry when Blue's Clues had a drag queen singing about genders and sexualities to its audience? Or when Baymax told the message that men could have periods too? What about the time when the Muppets had a little boy change into a princess dress?
