General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I couldn't think of anything to add.

Apropos of nothing, what are the vtubers that have made the greatest strides in learning a language as part of their vtubing? The three that I can think of are Alban, who learned Japanese incredibly fast, Tenma, who clearly had a huge head start on English but has made a lot of progress on top of that, and maybe Nagao, although I only became aware of him recently so I don't know how good he used to be. Does anyone else come to mind? Specifically cases where you can see improvement, not people who were already nihongo jouzu or eigo jouzu.

Suisei will be hosting a new radio show named "ぶいあーる!〜VTuberの音楽Radio〜" on NHK -FM, (a subsidiary of NHK - aka state owned media/ the japanese BBC)
The first episode, on the 8/12, will be a 2 hour special about the vtuber music scene, with Tokino Sora and Hizuki Yui as guest (atleast that is what Deepl tells me).

Also melody might have gotten a little "tribute" in CoD vanguard.

Subaru got interested in a game. Try to guess which one it could be, then watch the clip.
Knew it immediately after looking at the thumbnail, choosing between the world or your one true love. "Sana no Uta" though.... By the way here's one of the Ending songs from a studio live by the singer Itou Kanako (from her youtube channel, she's very familiar if you follow Nitro+ stuff or at least know School Days)
Speaking of streaming output: AZKi is back to streaming after her birthday live from a month ago (minus one members stream in the meantime). Like Suisei she seems very busy with her music career.
She got her 15 year anniversary concert to prepare for this year as her roommate as well as stuff with the group she's in, La Priere on top of her OL day job.
Pata-nee 3D. First live guest is Ririmu (who is also drawn by Lack).

Flare doesn't bother with them but there's an outside chance Aruran might show up too given how close he and Lain are.

Watched this stream and I don't expect Aruran to be there since I can't really recall Niji 3D debuts with non Niji guests. The guests she managed to invite was impressive though, Toko, Lize, Mito, Mikoto, Mirei, and a lot of her popular seniors.
Oh nice, now hopefully chat won't get retarded and scare her off of playing the sequels :optimistic:
At least get to X4 and play as Zero. I want to see her reaction to Iris (and hopefully cover the X4 theme).
It's more serious than just groping. As Marine has said groping itself is just a playful thing that happens a lot.
The difference with Matsuri is she's extremely creepy about it, like she's one mental breakdown away from literally assaulting one of them
Even then some indies can scare the menhera. Here's Yuugasaki Umi, indie formerly from Stellar Cycle Campus
and Game Club's first Kazami Ryo before being replaced
.
Aki held another acoustic live, with Ashino-san as usual, but this time also with Azki and another guy named Itoi.

This one was really good. I especially like the Macross Frontier songs and Tsuki no Waltz.

For posters liking HACHI's streams and songs, she nailed a duet cover with her oshi. 9PM JST premiere. They will also cover another song on the 16th on AZKi's channel. I'm excited about the possibility of them doing a live collab karaoke just like what HACHI did with Vesperbell's Yomi after the two cover releases.

MaiR will be singing at 8PM JST. Unfortunately earlier in the day she announced her 4th year anniversary live will be postponed because the equipment ordered for the live got a significant delay in arrival.

I know you've already discussed Kaela's past life here, but I just wanted to finally debunk the silent laugh meme.
Don't get me wrong, I like it as much as her other quirks, I'm just tired of seeing clips like "The closest we ever get to discovering Ela's full audible laugh".

Compilation:

Though it's still interesting why she decided to supress her natural laughs.. Maybe she's a bit shy about them? But I think there's nothing to hide here.

In terms of just improvement, Alban Knox from NijiEN. He's not fluent yet but he's making great progress in learning japanese.
