They will unironically ignore the negative side effects and call it transphobic. If you tell a Trans person that "affirmation" is not medical treatment for dysphoria then they will double down and say that it's the best way to treat their mental illness. I've seen it.
In fact what I've witnessed is that it's basically heresy in their Trans religion to backtrack in any way possible. I used to ask people if they could take a pill to stop being gay, because it was interesting to see how people considered their choices or circumstances. Now the reason why is because if you ask someone with diabetes, allergies, physical deformities etc. They would undo their issues, no question.
Out of all the people to ask, Trans are the most likely to double down. Because they don't want to be seen as having a mental illness, they just want to be the opposite sex.
In fact I think that's the next step. Instead of dysphoria being seen as mental illness, they want it to be seen as normal.
The rest of us know this is odd, that it's a creation of modernity and science. Sure, people have cross dressed, and acted as the opposite sex. sure, people in the past have wanted to be something else.
The difference now is we are expected to see this stuff as normal, no different from a mentally healthy person and communities of people who accept the stages and conditions of human life. The entire normalization effort is parallel to the rest of leftist thinking in terms of equity.
Orwell didnt have the foresight to see:
It's not 2+2=5...
It's 2+2=4
2+1=4
2+0=4
2-2=4
Even if the reasoning doesnt add up to a satisfying answer there is always the agenda, always the narrative to uphold. The question, is why?
