People started joking about the book she was writing with a felinoid male and another guy, not supposed to be likeable. Jokes ensued, chat went mad with power in making Grimmi flustered, results as shown

Also, book is not BL, part of why the joking gained in fervor

I don't know any of the specifics regarding the vtuber references, and I refuse to watch False, so just be aware I am 100% talking out of my ass with what I'm saying here. Anyway, I'm fairly certain CoD is getting in trouble over a completely unrelated skin, not the vtuber references. There was some kind of fluffy dog skin that was wholly ripped off and put into the game without the creator's consent, and they just removed it after the backlash. Now, regarding the vtuber references, it seems to me that the Melody one is the only one that could be close enough for a legal challenge considering the character looks extremely similar to her and uses her actual name, but I'm sure nothing will come of it. Either the fans will make a big stink and they will remove it, or not enough people will care and it will remain. That's my take.

Copyright attaches whenever a creative work is affixed in a "permanent" medium; formally applying for a copyright just serves as general notice of ownership. Trademark only applies to designations of origin used in commerce.

In short, why it's basically proven:
- Similar voice and probably accent too (ID locals should be able to tell)
- Same game preferences (mainly LoL: WR) and favourite characters (Evelynn/Mundo/Velkoz)
- Stopped being active as Xyera few months before Hololive debut
- Privated her Instagram with 200k followers around the same time (but here's an archive for curious eyes)
- Privated all YouTube videos after info about Xyera was posted on Nyfco (and I think some schizo even SCed this name on her stream... as I was told)
- Stopped collabing with her former friends like Kurohiko; someone asked him about Kaela and he said he knows the person IRL and her name starts with X
- Tried streaming as a vtuber before. People allegedly asked her to try a deeper voice and she nailed it. Only one clip was left on her channel when I archived it and she doesn't use that voice there, but here's an excerpt still:
