That Metal Thread

Militant Zone has a Youtube channel that they are uploading obscure videos of Black Metal bands they have signed. Live performances and even full albums.

Lots of goodies you guys might be interested in. They also have made an Odysee channel where they upload content that would be banned on Youtube.

Bad news, someone stole Brenden Small's (Dethklok) guitars.

Good news, Adult swim have their yearly music festival.
They're now saying Dethklok is at 12 AM EST and it's just going to be one song. They're also saying the full set won't be out for at least 2 months. Once again Kockblocked by Adult Swim because they told me 9 PM EST. Wait a few months for the full concert performance, don't let Adult Swims be dildos because they know Dethklok is a headline act.

Love metal, esp Doom, Sludge, Black and old school Thrash stuff. Some of my favorites:

- The first 6 Black Sabbath albums (duh)
- Burzum - Filofsem (1996)
- Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss (1990)
- Voivod - Dimension Hattross (1988)
- Saint Vitus - Born Too Late (1986)
- Autopsy - Mental Funeral (1991)
- Metallica - Ride the Lightning (1984)
- Venom - Welcome to Hell (1981)
- Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops (1994)
- Godflesh - Streetcleaner (1989)
- Sarcofago - INRI (1987)
- Mayhem - Deathcrush EP (1987)
- Hellhammer - Apocalyptic Raids EP (1984)
- Holy Hell - S/T demo (1988?)
- Melvins - Gluey Porch Treatments (1987)
- NME - Unholy Death (1986)
- Celtic Frost - Into the Pandemonium (1987)
- Ministry - In the Land of Rape & Honey (1988)
- Primus - Frizzle Fry (1990)

That's off the top of my head, anyway.

Recently ventured into meatspace, touched grass, and saw Elder, Ruby the Hatchet, and Dreadnought in concert. Though they only played four songs, Dreadnought was the highlight for me; jazzy progressive metal with female vocals, shades of Cynic and Atheist.

Dreadnought's very nice lead singer was (wo)manning the merch table, and I ended up picking up some shirts and their as-of-yet unreleased album, "The Endless." Highly recommend it, with "Liminal Veil" as the best cut of the album.

very handy list on which bands to get into from 1:46 - 1:53 on the first video. Seriously, what is with the new metal scene, especially core, being political spergs?
It's due to faggot ass emo punk millennials on anti-depressants getting into the genre and ruining it for everyone else. Enjoyable bands are getting thrown under the bus while these faggots make up some sort of bullshit related to white supremacy. I wish they would fuck off with their "metal" subreddits. There really should be a thread on r/metal and the tards who run it, it's a gold mine.

Here's some stuff I've been listening to lately:
Started to listen to Cripper earlier this month and I believe that they're extremely underrated and I cannot recommend them enough. Britta Goertz is a very talented vocalist.

Another band featuring Britta Goertz. After Cripper broke up in 2018, Britta focused on Critical Mess and eventually went on to start Hiraes in 2020.

Not sure if anyone really knows this, but Divine Heresy is out of hiatus and they're looking for members. Currently it's fuckwad Dino Cazares (he's a dick) and the new vocalist is Lauren Hart from Once Human. I do think DH was way before its time and it was sad to see how the band broke apart, but it wasn't surprising considering the backgrounds of all of the members.

I'm back on my Roman kick.
Anyone listened to the new Amon Amarth yet? Any good?
It's your run of the mill Amon Amarth album. Some songs are catchy.

Lurked for a while, my taste in music is pretty all over the place but metal is my overall favourite and I've been listening to a lot of black metal recently.
Any recs for decent YouTube channels about metal in general regardless of genre? Asking here so I can avoid channels like that dipshit that was posted a while back, thanks lads.

Here's one of my favourites while I'm here, Icelandic folk metal (the entire album tells a story so I suggest giving it a listen if you like Norse mythology)
